I was sitting around with nothing to do, so I decided to make a link wheel type of a diagram. What do you guys think? I'm not using this but thought would post it up and see what you guys think and where I can use improvements.

The idea here is that my main site is going for 4 keywords: Keyword #1, #2, #3, and #4.

Legend:

SB = Social Bookmarks (1 - 100 links)
Web 2.0 = Sites like Live, Hubpages etc.

And of course bookmarking the Main page.

Thoughts? Would this be a good strategy?

Instead of using Web 2.0 properties all the way, which are more valuable, why not try something like having a link wheel target a keyword, then either build a separate link wheel around each property in the first or use an autoblog to link to the link wheel properties. That way, you can use a tool like XRUMER very effectively, by spamming your autoblog or secondary link wheels with thousands of links, and have that all pass on juice to your money site.
Also, add RSS Feed submissions in there. :)

Thanks Slingshot, I'll give your idea a shot and make a new diagram (I'm more of a visual person).

And yes, I was also going to include RSS feeds but didn't want to clutter the diagram too much.

There should be more chaos :) If it's always the same linking scheme - it's a footprint.

I agree with this... chaos, randomness, variations... would make it appear more natural.

Btw, what did you use to create this diagram? I have used some mind mapping software but it makes the diagram look like shit.

I used good ole Excel and then print screen, copy and paste into MS Paint :p.

I'll create new ones, with more chaos when I get some time. I'm going to working on a huge project so I'm going to be designing more elaborate ones.

Xrumer isnt white hat, and this is white hat section

I would say submit some of them to rss feeds, but not all. As you guys said random thing looks more natural. And you also need to estimate how many social bookmark that you will do for each web 2.0 properties. A totally huge link blast will be suspicious for the big G
