If you dont care for seo or organic traffic there is no reason for you not to try this
Except that most webmasters moderate their comments. So there's a risk that your comment won't be published, and you'll have exhausted yourself for nothing.
It is difficult to find sites to leave comments on I was thinking of doing it on social media.

In my experience, the only sites where comments are not moderated are those that don't necessarily have a good reputation with the search engines.
Typing in the comment by hand manually and making sure it is valuable in places like Quora Reddit etc. Leaving say 25 a day for a year+
