Disadvantage in SEs when interlinking all own websites?

I see this spamming too all over the place and asking myself who should do this. Is there any value in it? I mean a value could only be in when its automated. But for doing this there has to be a software that can cheat to register here at the forum. Dont know...

I tried to contact harro. Till now I never had luck to reach a mod anytime (only one time a mod in training, but he hadnt enough rights to do anything... :))

Lets see if it gets merged...

I don't think there is any value in spamming forums like that even if it is automated, if it is going to be hitting forums like this they are just wasting their efforts. Might be of value if you had a good list of social forums, and automate it to hit them. If it's not automated then even more stupid, obviously a forum like this isn't going to convert at all. BHW is where you learn how to do it right. :) lol

You posted a link to this thread in the other. That should be good enough. If it gets merged great, if not I don't think it really matters.

You're threads always get some good responses and end up loaded with good info.

edit - So did you end up linking all your sites together like you were wanting to do? Let us know if that seems to help you in the serps at all. From the responses you got it sounds like it will. Once I get my content network linked together and then get the linkwheels set up, I'll come back and let you know if it gets good results too. Thanks for the thread.

Yeah I agree with you about learning to do things yourself. I've always built my sites, and the steps I take get it indexed quickly (usually within hours), and the sites always start getting some organic traffic within the first few days. That's just from my own efforts doing pretty simple things, before I even start buying bookmarks or paying for anything else.

I'm sure I could do a good job of building a linkwheel myself, as far as mapping out the number of sites, number of layers, most efficient way to interlink them all to get maximum linking and keeping a seemingly amount of randomness to the network. I just haven't intentionally made a linkwheel yet, and just for the sheer number of sites needed to make a good one, I'm not that good at spinning the content that many times. It just seems from a time standpoint I'd be better off outsourcing the linkwheels and focus my time on making the true content sites. Maybe your right though and I should do at least the first linkwheel myself. I'll have to give it some more thought.

You are still thinking too wide scale, bud. Cut it down into cluster sites. I target 3-5 major sites at a time, build their own linkwheel and then tie them together into a larger recipricating network framework.

Then, as you build up 3-5 of these clusters, build the larger clusters into a network and so on. Take it in small pieces.

Till now I didnt do this. The sites will be built in some days because I need to get the 26 articles before that I ordered... I will link them from the beginning so i think it wouldnt be a good test if it helps in serps. A better test would be to interlink established sites with stable ranking. But at the moment I dont have much of those real sites...

It all starts with 1 good one. Don't overthink it and just do it. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

Yeah I have a tendency to look at the big picture, see the interconnectivity in it. Works great for macromanagement, but I lost a LOT of money in real estate a few years ago, because I wasn't able to stay on top of the micromanagement. Would have made a killing if the mortgage crisis wouldn't have hit when it did, as it was lost everything. Had I done as you suggest on this project, I would have had smaller completed projects, even if the encompassing plan wasn't complete.

I try to eat the whole elephant sometimes, instead of taking it a bite at a time.

Yeah, stick with getting the foundation set and build on that. You will not only be able to control/manage your clusters responsibly but realistically. You'd be surprised as to how easy it is to make a small number of sites into a fortune very easily.

Not to knock anyone that does this but the two biggest problems I see in trying to make money online is people try to put all their eggs in one basket and go for broke or they go overkill the opposite direction and try to have a site of EVERY niche.

My experience has proven for me at least, that taking a slice of each type of pie gives everyone the chance to do so as well and no body gets sick at the end of the day, be it due to doing without/ still being hungry or being stuffed due to taking too much.

Example: 5 sites that generate $2,500/month for the first 90 days is still $37,500 for the duration.

People tend to want millions overnight and that isn't the way to make real long-term wealth. Take it in steady chunks and you'll be fine.

LOL, Hell I'd be happy if I could get one site bringing in $2500/month.

Most of my websites bring in just a few dollars each, only a few bring in hundreds a month. The project I'm working right now is my most ambitious to date. This idea has a lot more potential, but I'm not even expecting it to take off overnight. When it does though, watch out... it's gonna change the world. ;) LOL
