How often do you make a backup?

Those who have average hosting like me don't have a daily backup, at most weekly, in this case, what do you do? Do you make a backup after each article or do you trust the hosting service's backup?

Thank you to all, I'm using UpdraftPlus Backup/Restore and I find it very good,

My question was whether to make extra backups compared to those provided by my hosting or to trust them, but at this point in any case every now and then it is better for me to create my own backups for any emergency.

I do auto backups evertime there is a wp change, and I keep the last 5 stored in my google drive automatically. I use totalupkeep, by https://www.boldgrid.com/

Weekly works for content related stuff. A week is fairly easy to restore.

When I was using shared hosting I would just use AIO WP Migration > GDrive like most.

Hosting provider does daily backup for me
i also do manual (scheduled) weekly backup via Updraft -> goes straight to a gmail account
Which I do keep all "major" update (wp/plugins/theme etc) copies of.
While for any plugin etc update, i do that via a staging site first before pushing it out to prod

Using WPX and they are running backups every day, solid service

How often u do that depends on how many data and how confidential it is. Do u have MB, GB or TB of data to back up and how confidential is it? Tell me and I will help u

Never trust your hosting provider for backups. Don't put all your eggs in one basketl.

Atleast make a weekly backup that is STORED OFF-SITE (that is not on your server) yourself. You never know when your hosting provider will fuck up (especially if you aren't paying extra for a backup service) and if you solely trust them, you are opening yourself up for trouble.
