Hi everyone,

I am just wondering about what type of websites or niches would survive an AI future? What's your opinion?

many people say that AI threatens search engines like google but i think they will continue to exist. you know when you search for something you want to see a second and third result. i think that's something people have just gotten used to and will continue to use.

when you talk about "websites" on social networks, i think they will continue to exist.

Or those game sites that you go to just to play a browser game. things like that.

Anything about surviving AI disruption, probably the last website to be taken down by the AI lords :p
No seriously, imagine a site to consult for people who lost their job because of AI and want to find a job that can't be "disrupted" or something around this idea. IMHO this is going to explode in the next 3-5 years.
Or even less dramatic, how to keep your job despite AI.

I agree with the point on never ending popularity of social media. Cat memes will live forever, I hope :)
Also some stuff like travel blogs, diaries, vlogs, and memoirs that detail personal experiences will always have an audience. AI can generate content, but it doesn't "live" or experience life in the same way humans do.

I don't know what will survive but one niche that will die is the tech niche, AI will take over

The main source of revenue for search engines is advertising, they still need to send people to websites to sell advertisements. Pretty much all websites that answer a problem that people are searching for will survive. I suppose the ones that are most likely to survive are going to be the ones that end up being chosen as references for AI answers. But that's just a guess.

Everything is at stake by WOKE morons running AI.

Wikipedia & similar sites, OG news sites, tools, forums, movies/music, ecommerce, fan based sites etc. will survive. Basically anything that can't be delivered by AI will continue to survive. Basic informational sites will be nuked first.

I think ecommerce is going to be a good bet. Even though AI can buy things for users, it will have to order it from somewhere. Movies and music, I'm not sure, as AI might be able to make tunes based on your favorites. but only future will tell.

No niche is safe from AI
It's only going to get better each year

Ai is using our websites to take info, so no worries

So, Wikipedia, Encyclopedia Britannica or similar encyclopedias type sites would survive in your opinion? Aren't this types of sites informational too? When you mention basic informational sites what type of sites you mean? Can you provided some examples? Thanks!

Websites will definitely survive but they are going to be replaced by the best version of them. For example if you ask the A.I. for the best profuct or service in x country it's going to return the information about the best and only the best product or service.

These are not basic sites. Yes these are informational sites as well but they have already gained significant trust from people thanks to google. It's now just like a habit for many people. These sites are also ad-free.

I won't be able to show any specific sites but just think about modern MFA sites. I meant basic informational sites which is based on a specific niche that talks around a certain topic (chasing the keywords) without first-hand experience. Just like an AI which can write about any topic for hours but it's not real content. Many people used to and still trying to create sites like that. This whole venture of making walking-dead zombie sites will fail terribly in the coming days.

But wherever people combine the power of AI and human capabilities will thrive.

AI chatbots cannot replace Google because Google gives you options for your search, like images, videos, news, and directions. The niche that is about to be covered under the carpet is the tech niche.

Why you believe tech niche won't survive?

Why you believe tech niche won't survive?
With the way AI is rapidly developing. Picture the Venn diagram with Tech as the bigger circle and AI as the smaller one. As AI progresses, the circle will increasingly overlap. One possibility is that AI may become so integrated into technology that it ceases to be a distinct niche, merging seamlessly into the broader tech landscape.

Is that why lifestyle niche sites (astrology, numerology, etc) got hit so hard from the recent core updates? Because it's impossible to run such sites anymore?
