* Ebay Tips * Milk Those MotherF$ckers!

I thought like on your upper account they can trace the IP and nail you for bumping the bids and both accounts would get banned...

Thanks

Have a blessed one...

I agree. ebay suspended two of my accounts for a week or more for shillbidding. I used 2 IP's and try to cover my tracks, they found the way. This is wrong advice hands down.

I did eBay for 5 years or more reached platinum + sales of up to 20K a month and got tired of fees, paypal and client bullshit, UPS, Fedex, post office, stamps.com, endicia, auctiva, blackthorne, terapeak, etc. at the end I started doing affiliate markeking and no inventory to invest/carry.

You can do other things to promote your sales like sending your shortened auction or store url to blogs or forums + build your rss of the urls and send if to rss aggregators 4 times a day. Use high traffic keywords in your title, ping the urls daily, use a nice template, build a kickass "about me' page with an optin (you can use html in your about me page). offer a free guide of whatever you are selling in exchange of the email and build your list. use an autoresponder for your list. first give the ebook and include a link with a coupon for your site (another site) or an affiliate link with a cpa offer or an amazon product or a link with another page with more free stuff with a protected page (cpa lead or something like that).

At the end, my message is to use your creativity to sell more and MILK every corner the good way using grey/black hat techniques like the blog spam.

Come on....shill bidding?!?!!? Good luck with that. Ebay catches on to that shit real quik. They start seeing IP addresses that are even close or lots of proxies, and red flags start flying up. Even if they just see a brand new bidder on all of your auctions, they will know something is up.

And anyone who has dealt with Ebay knows that their policy much of the time is to error on the side of caution and just lock you down. Not worth the time and frustration.

I'm not saying shill bidding can't work once or twice, but if you are trying to tell me that you've been shill bidding for awhile and not had any problems.....I don't believe you.

I agree, it is a bit much, especially after all the insertion fees and then the 9% final value Fee.

I only ever use 1 fake ebay account to up my own bids,

I have been using this 1 account now for the past 3-4+ months, (and i do auctions weekly)

and ebay has never caught me yet, and I even file non paying cases against my fake bid incase I bid too much, then if i do too many of that my fake ebay account gets deleted, and guess what?

I make another ebay account on the same exact ip address that I use my real one,

been doing this for over 5 years, so please dont tell me what you think works or doesnt work, im just a 'little' bit experienced in this field..

Good luck to you BlackBoxer and I don't think anyone is saying that this method is not working for you. Nonetheless, I'm honestly really surprised that eGay hasn't caught up with you yet and believe that this method has to be approached with a significant degree of caution.

If I was going to do this regularly with my own account then I would definitely be using different IP's for the bidding accounts and certainly using more than one bidding account.

Given all the crap that I have experienced with eGay, I'm really surprsied that you are managing to get away with repeatedly setting up new accounts from the same IP address to be perfectly truthful.

Anyway, if it's working for you, then long may it continue!!

ive been doing the same 'method' for the past 5 years on and off, so hopefully nothing changes *touch wood*

just offering some insight for you guys, dont like it or believe the free advice, thats your call.

Cheers

wow..impressive mate..if only, i am half as good as you. :) if you need any partnership, be sure to count me in..hehe..

I have been looking at a few auctions, and notice with the bigger sellers that shill bidding is pretty common.

So would this work over the long-term?

Shill bid upto your minimum price, and then just dupe new buyers to bid at the last minute, a long the lines of "nothing attracts a crowd like a crowd"?

yes, remember, you can go cheaper then other people on ebay, because in Auctions you can always just up your own bids yourself, but I only do that last minute, as people who bid after the first/second day start feeling like they have a connection with that item, if that makes sense..
I mean, if say they are bidding on a digital camera, and RRP its $200.00

if you list it for $170, and someone bids at that amount, and for the first 3 days there bid amount still stands, they login daily to check in on it, and they start getting attached to it, and if you throw in the methods I listed up top, you can make some nice profit...

Yep, back before the fees got ridiculous and paypal was required I used to do this.
You are spot on blackboxer because a person who has been winning your auction for a few days that suddenly gets outbid late is much more likely to up their bid and pay
more than they planned originally just so they can "win" the item they feel is "theirs".

It is kinda the same mentality that gets people to play carnival games and spend $20 on a stuffed animal they could buy themselves for $5. Useful tips.

100% correct, and nice analogy, thats what I was trying to say in not so many words haha.

Another 500$ profit this week, and it will take me about 1 hours of actual 'work' for it.

I love ebay, and I hope this gives out hope to all the noobies out there that just because a method is 'tried and true' doesnt mean its still not profitable. Ebay is fucking great simply because of the amount of traffic it gets.

anyways, dont pm me for my method, just hoping to inspire people out there, and along with the tips ive posted above, theres no reason why you SHOULDNT be making half a grand a week.
