Between OSRS botting for gold, league account creations from League, I need more ideas to use my machine.

Please let me know of any methods used to make money with a super PC

Specs:

Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 6312U CPI @ 2.4GHz 3.6 GHz
128GB RAM
Windows 10 PRO
Brand: SuperMicro

Any suggestions or Ideas?

Thanks

Paid around $7,000 brand new

$7k? you overpaid for that tbh :/

newest laptop processors have 24 cores 32 threads (yours is 24 cores 8 threads at low frequency.

anyway, i would just run local llms to generate content, create sites with it, get traffic and bank

Damn I guess so... That really sucks. But this is from a legit manufacturer called SuperMicro. I don't think they made me overpay and if they did, it couldn't be too much. I will try to get more info and post it here. Maybe there is something I am not describing correctly.

how and where did you buy it for $7k? lol

i mean, according to those specs, i would pay probably around 3k-4k tops

This is max a 3000$ computer, That gpu is 5 years old. The processor and ram are probably fine for most things. I don't know what kind of computer you were trying to get but this is hardware configuration is for a workstation (video editing etc) and servers, not (really) home use. It's a far cry from a supercomputer.

A real supercomputer runs quintillions of floating-point calculations, petabytes of memory, petabytes of storage and takes a small powerplant to run as well as its own building to hold it with industrial-strength air conditioning. Sorry to say, You got ripped off. :(

That technically is a piece of a supercomputer. Now get 1K more of those, and you will be on the track for real supercomputing.

About what to do with this, depends a lot on your skills. Most of the worthy systems require good knowledge to take advantage. Maybe you could consider renting it if you have a good internet connection.

There are places that offer auctions for old pieces of hardware like that https://www.hetzner.com/sb

But you cannot put yours there, they only put theris. You can do somewhat similar. I'm not sure if there is an open marketplace for people that have hardware like yours, but probably people would be using it for very malicious things (I would never rent that for anything legit, I would not be able to trust you, and probably anyone would be able to trust you, except for very dark purposes, which would not care to expose your IP and all that)

That ain't no supercomputer. That's a workstation. The kind of computer that engineers use for CAD and simulations and 3d designers and gamedevs use as their dev station.

If you don't do any of those, you just bought a very expensive computer that you might have no real use for

Tho, you can still put it to good use.
If you know your way around software engineering than you can make all sorts of useful stuff with a rig like that.

It can be a big fat proxy server for example. You can get multiple simcards and stuff and hook them up to create thousands of proxy ips, which you can then use to make accounts, automate social media, run campaigns etc.
A rig like this would be right up the alley for @lucky.sparks for example.

You can run local LLMs to generate content as someone said. But the GPU would be a bottleneck.

But since this looks like server gear, lookup the motherboard and see if it has multiple PCIe lanes. If it has you can hook up multiple of them in sli (if you want to invest ofc)

The one's here is a server processor.

Those things might have fewer cores
and lower frequencies than your top-of-the-line laptop chips today, but they are designed to run hot for literally a decade non-stop and you can install multiple of them in a single server-grade motherboard. Also have higher caches.

They cost about 5-10x than your laptop processors when bought new. The ram there also is likely ddr5 ECC memory.

This is a workstation. An equally specc'd up consumer desktop/laptop might cost $3k but this one is made for completely different tasks.
That ECC Ram and CPU (if it's new) alone would cost you $3k.
Workstation stuff is expensive especially when you are just buying single units of those chips.

Supermicro dont make "computers" they make servers, so you have a server. Which most likely is why it costed you 7k.

You don't have to use it for just one big project. You can install a virtualizor to split it into many virtual computers to do different things.

Maybe someone posted it but you can use it to decrypt hashes (if you know how). Some good money can be made that way.

How much for a league account lol

I just got a 3 week ban for tilt

I have two other BitCoin miners.

Could I possibly combine all 3 into a mega-miner? xD
