Why link insertion good for article?

1. DA / DR can be faked (inflated artificially using google redirects and such)
2. some people do prefer DA / DR regardless
3. DA / DR are metrics invented by 3rd party tools like MOZ and Ahrefs, and google doesn't care about these tools, google have their own internal mechanisms by which they rank sites, so there are more important metrics to assess the sites' authority by than DA and DR. That's why people.... or, rather, SEO-savvy people don't (usually) care about DA / DR

Because links nowadays are tracked by google. If a link drives zero traffic, it's not even there. A link that drives traffic is worth more than a high DA link that is stale.

A link insertion from a traffic driven website is worth, as traffic helps in generating revenue, gains better UX, easy indexing, etc.

Consider that some sites have some traffic but still they have DR almost 0 or even 0 because they are targeting very low competence keywords and they end ranking top 5.
In those cases a link from them won't be either relevant. But also be aware that high DR could be inflated with some links that are worth 0 but they push up the DR number. They are worth 0 because Google will not care about them (for example, redirections)

power is given by backlinks, so if the site has (good) backlinks and your backlink is NOT nofollow then yes, those sites will give you power even if the DA / DR is 0.

Websites with the presence of organic traffic will always be more valuable among experts as this is a real indicator that shows how much the site is really interesting and in demand among users. Few people will be interested in sites without traffic but with good DA/DR. It is silly to focus on this because these indicators are easy to adjust.

Google loves links who comes from niche relavent pages. If you can take backlinks from your compititor , now thninks what gonaa hapen with you.?
