Squarespace to Wordpress Migration

Any automated methods to do this?

I know you can export and import posts and pages but the images/media is not exported. The plugins recommended in the guides do not work with newest form of wordpress so I need a plugin to find external images in a post, import them and replace on the post or an automated service that does this all for you.

Any recommendations?

That is 11 years old (has not been updated). Squarespace has updated quite a bit since then, as has WP, pretty sure it will not work.

I am going to see if I can downgrade WP to a version that works on the Auto Image plugin, get it to work, then go back to the latest WP version.

I just checked this plugin on a new WordPress and the import features seem to load. Not sure about the Squarespace side

That is actually a creative idea... smart!

AFAIK Squarespace has already a builtin way to export to Wordpress.com

About the images, you could also do the trick to export to Wordpress.com first and then to your self-hosted version (this is kind of straightforward)

Managed to sort this by downgrading WP and use the Auto Upload plugin, remove the plugin and then upgrade WP. Thank you all for trying to help.

It says 6.1.3 on the plugin page but I went down to the last version of 5. It is also very finicky about theme used. I found it best to use it on Twenty Twenty Three, then go back and add the theme I wanted once it had completed. I could not get it to run on Astra at all.
