Trusted non-US domain registrar

PDR had suspended without a court order on the request of the Intellectual Property Crime Unit (PIPCU) of City of London Police.
PDR is shit. I had just send 3 DMCA to them for copying my content, they took down the whole domain (server hold). And same is their Radix registry. they too did the same. They don't even investigate. So if you are registering domains like .shop, .store, .online, .pw, and many more operated by Radix registry, then one DMCA to them and your domain is locked! So avoid them.

IDK. they may be resellers of godaddy US,/NL, openprovider NL, shinjiru MY
I registered two domains with them and both got registered with Hosting Concepts, NL (as upstream registrar). so they're offshore, non-us, and safe!
Do you have any experience with how Openprovider / Hosting Concepts handles DMCA? They say that they require a Dutch court order, WIPO decision, or ICANN complaint to take down a domain and if the domain is via a reseller they pass on all responsibility to deal with it to the reseller from what I've heard. They're used by a lot of rogue pharma sites, botnets, and scam sites that don't get suspended, which they've been called out for by the FDA, the US Trade Representative, LegitScript, and Spamhaus. But then I saw this thread where OP claims he got a course piracy domain suspended by Openprovider which AlexHost was the reseller of, so I'm not sure: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/hello-need-your-help.1504436/
I can't find any info about them being used by piracy sites, so any insight you have here that could shed light on it would be hugely appreciated.

you have half baked information.
.org does suspends domains for copyright/DMCA. https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/domain-extension-that-ignore-dmca-complain.1332175/.
only some cctlds ignore DMCA including .to, .so, .su, .ru etc. and some european cctlds like Luxembourg's etc.

easydns can do nothing if I contact the .com registry and ask them to suspend domain "serverhold status" and it gets suspended at registry. No need to go to Ontario court to get a written order. I've already taken down many such domains across many registrar asking my clients to file DMCA with registry or directly send them subpoena through a lawyer. In said circumstances the registry puts hold on the domain. And your registrar easydns is of no help in this situation.

IF a copyright holder sends DMCA to easydns and according to their TOS, they actively act upon DMCA complaint (though they are Canadian) and forward your the DMCA and you have to take down the content. Too many DMCA piling up for your domain, easydns will ask you to move out. (this is as per their TOS clauses). Please read them. So they are not safe or reliable domain registrar at all. I would recommend to avoid easydns.

Namesilo is quite reliable than easydns. They don't act upon DMCA unless you use their web hosting. If you only have domain, they ask the copyright holder to go to hosting provider. As suggested by @brownsofts here. Even the-online.com, nicenic.net, ourdomain.com, gandi.net (europe) etc follow policies like namesilo. But when they too will receive notification from domain registry, like Verisign for .com/.net, that the copyright holder has filed DMCA/subpoena with at Registry level, the registry will keep the domain on "hold".

For nicenic.net, one has to send registered copyright certificate from any Government authority. So if someone copies your image, text, blogpost, logo, etc and you don't have registered it that is you don't have physical copyright certificate that shows your are the sole owner of that piece of content, then nicenic will not act on DMCA/copyright complaints at all. I've first hand experience with them too!
Yes, I know that registries like .org supercedes registrars like easyDNS. I was under the impression that .org was DMCA ignored until presented with a US court order, but I guess I was wrong. My bad.

Yes, I know that certain ccTLDs are way better, but I didn't mention them since easyDNS doesn't register any DMCA ignored ccTLDs on their own, they just resell Tucows for those.

.to is DMCA ignored until they get served a US court order since Tonic is based in the US. I know of a piracy forum that got their .to domain suspended and I've read on BlackHatWorld about someone else getting their .to domain suspended for copyright infringement.
.so is not DMCA ignored: https://torrentfreak.com/so-registry-bans-more-kickasstorrents-domains-150304/

I assumed that part of their ToS was mostly to cover their own ass since most DMCA ignored domain registrars and hosting providers say that copyright infringement is not allowed. My bad again.

I'd like to find something outside of the US, so NameSilo is not for me.

I think I've read on LowEndTalk that Gandi is not DMCA ignored, but sensible about it. I could be wrong though. The only piracy site I know that used Gandi was a private tracker and they don't have the same DMCA issues that public sites have.

NiceNIC sounds nice (lol), but the Chinese Communist Party really does not like online piracy to the point that they have state-sponsored hackers go after Chinese piracy sites. I know of a Chinese-run private tracker for anime that has to go into lockdown mode whenever Chinese government crackdowns are happening, so you can't log in unless you've exported your cookies for that site. Then there was this case: https://torrentfreak.com/china-shuts-down-major-manga-piracy-site-following-complaint-from-japan-230329/
My guess is that the CCP is pissed that they don't get any sales tax from people who just download stuff for free. I'm guessing NiceNIC is really run out of China with a Hong Kong front company like a lot of other international Chinese businesses. At least the phone number they have on ICANN's website is a Chinese phone number: https://www.icann.org/en/accredited-registrars?page=1&iana-number=3765&view-all=true

I've registered my domains with these non-US offshore domain registrars since years.
Best one's:
  • http://nicenic.net/ (HK)
  • https://the-online.com/ (NL)
  • ourdomains (HK)
  • shinjiru (MY) though they seem to discontinue domain registrations now.
  • gransy / subreg (CZ)
  • eranet / todaynic .com
  • hexonet / 1API (DE)
Bad one's: (they suspend domains)
  • njal.la
  • ownregistrar (India)
  • easydns (Canada)
  • onlinenic.com (not safe anymore)
OurDomains seems to be run out of China as well according to ICANN: https://www.icann.org/en/accredited-registrars?page=1&iana-number=1654&view-all=true

I've seen evidence of Subreg being DMCA ignored, but I've also seen evidence of Subreg suspending piracy domains. Either way it does not seem competent nor reliable:
Locked ExtraTorrent out of Subreg's control panel + either Subreg or the registries stripped the domains of their A records, turning them useless: https://torrentfreak.com/extratorrent-loses-three-mirror-domain-names-161109/
Blindly following an obviously fake report + their WHOIS contact system rejecting emails sent using Gmail from reaching the contact email: https://blog.archive.today/tagged/domain
It took Subreg eight days to forward an abuse notice from the registry, at which point the registry had already suspended the domain: https://www.namepros.com/threads/incels-me-gets-its-domain-suspended-by-me-registry-over-hate-speech.1108366/page-2#post-6986961

The-Online is based in the US, not in the Netherlands.

Shinjuru sometimes ignores DMCA, sometimes not from what I've read on hosting forums. It also seems like Malaysia is starting to really crack down on piracy: https://torrentfreak.com/malaysia-passes-bill-to-imprison-illegal-streaming-pirates-for-up-to-20-years-211218/

Regarding HEXONET / 1API, I'm not sure how much I'd trust a German company with a piracy domain. They tend to be extremely strict about piracy in Germany.

Do you have any experience with R01, Reg.com / Reg.ru, or Webnames.ru / Regtime?

PDR is shit. I had just send 3 DMCA to them for copying my content, they took down the whole domain (server hold). And same is their Radix registry. they too did the same. They don't even investigate. So if you are registering domains like .shop, .store, .online, .pw, and many more operated by Radix registry, then one DMCA to them and your domain is locked! So avoid them.
Radix is even worse than that, they have automated systems determine if your domain is likely to be used for abuse and legitimate companies have gotten their domains suspended because of this: https://webmasters.stackexchange.com/questions/128197/our-domain-was-suspended-by-registry-due-to-potential-abuse
More incompetency: https://support.google.com/webmasters/thread/16247048?hl=en&msgid=16248743
They also voluntarily co-operate with the MPAA: https://torrentfreak.com/mpaa-signs-anti-piracy-deal-with-large-domain-registry-160413/

NameSilo - Netherlands, Gandi, OVH-French these are trusted
NameSilo is a US-registered company that is mostly run out of Canada, not the Netherlands.
OVH does not ignore DMCA. Their abuse report system just sucks so much that they don't get the abuse reports for their hosting side from what I've heard.

can you suggest some of them based on your own experience

I've tried:
  • Shinjiru.com's offshore locations including Bulgaria location for shared hosting. Since Shinjiru is Malaysian provider and Bulgaria is safe haven for DMCA, they just forward those DMCA to my email. They advertise it as Budget and Strongbolt hosting. Strongbolt is more expensive as it comes with private hidden DNS and IP. (They don't advertise as DMCA-ignored host)
  • Also I've tried The-Online.com's offshore location for cpanel shared hosting in their Netherlands location. Alike, these are pretty mint for hosting movie sites & streaming, adult, gambling & everything that doesn't engage in illegal activities like spam, phishing, etc. You've to choose location in their hosting panel after your make payment and then the cPanel account is set up automatically in that preferred location. You can choose from U.S (Phoenix), Europe (Netherlands), Asia (Singapore/India). The Online also forwards DMCA emails to me. I don't take any action. So far they haven't suspended my account, its been like 3 years. (Just like Shinjiru, this the-online.com also does not advertises as dmca-ignored host anywhere)
  • Vsys.host : for VPS, I've tried Vsys from Ukraine and its bit expensive like $18/month for 1cpu, 1gb ram, 10gb ssd. Though bit expensive, they are true dmca-ignored host. I've chosen a vm in their Amsterdam Netherlands location, as it is DMAC ignored country. They do not forward any DMCA to me, though its been just 8 months for me to host with them.
  • Buyvm.net : I've used their VPS in Luxembourg Europe location. Buyvm stock is always out sadly. If you are lucky you can order vps in buyvm.net Luxembourgh. Its hosted in Root datacenter which is dmca ignored. VPS prices are affordable like $7/month on Ryzen servers. Much cheaper than Vsys.host. I've used Buyvm vps for almost 2.5 years. Received only three DMCA till now. Buyvm's support is good. They've discord channel too.

right now i`m using alexhost as hosting provider
they have good support that will help me shortly use and manage vps for the first time
i use easydns, eurodns and nicenic for domain providers since nja.la isnt and flokinet arent safe anymore

anyway, you have good references for offshore vps providers ignoring dmca complains
someday i will try one of those above lists

thanks anyway

I run an online pharma - experience is that both ilovewww (Shinjiru) and Eranet (Nicenic) suspended my domains after takedown requests by LegitScript

Planning to try a .ru domain / Russian host next

try VentraIP, i used to registered all my domain with them, the support email is so fast, 5-10 minute and there always real people get back to me right away.

What host and domain providers should i use

Hi

Can anyone suggest me a trusted non-US domain registrar? I have an online store selling products on the gray area market, and Namecheap recently decided to block my website.

I managed to move it to another domain registrar, but I want to move it somewhere outside the US so they can't have access to block my domain on the US market.

Have any of you had similar problems? Any good recommendations?

Thank you!
Hello!! I suggest you take a look at MonoVM. I believe they have a reliable non-American registrar. You can also ask through their support.

hey guys , 1api gmbh or 1api.net , can you tell me any reseller from which I can register domain on 1api net , leads will be helpful i am looking for a domain registrar that can ignore phi*ing reports...

Brother, i was following you from some day. I run a movie download site. Recently for Indian court order notice, Namecheap banned my domains. Basically, Namecheap is suspending anykind of domain, just need abuse report from court. Now, i'm really worried about my domains. Can you tell me some registrar and extensions, they will not affect by indian court order? I publish Indian and Hollywood movies. Thatswhy the problem is Indian legal action. Please, suggest me registrars and some extensions.

from my experience with domain providers when playing blackhat cpa, do not use njalla and nicenic because my domains were suspended due to phishing activity
one thing they will not inform you by email related to the domain suspension so you will always continue to check your domain either it is alive or not when it is visited in the browser
