I am a content creator, but not for YT, yet have been studying YT algorithm for a while now. So, I am just curious what people's thoughts are for new content creators. My success on other platforms has come from creating content in which I am my authentic self, it's a slow process, but it builds a stronger audience. I am considering scaling and expanding my content across some new platforms as well as encouraging others to follow their dreams. Following our dreams is a very difficult journey to take in life.

well,well, use social media to give you a boost and depending in your niche could tiktok that is the tio social media for attracting more people to your channel, instagram and facebook, consistency uploading your content and interact with your followers read some comments and reply to make your followers know you are interested on them, that is the basic besides the quality of the videos that is always a must.

Do some research on your niche before conclusion. Learn from others who have succeeded in similar areas. Plus, have a strong determination to prevent frustration when its not rosy yet.

The best advice I can give you (as a fellow youtuber who has had large channels going back to 2010). Is just make good and quality content that people want to watch and also our an equal amount of time into making good titles and thumbnails. CTR and watch time are your two most important stats.
Expect to fail! If its your first YouTube channel it's gonna do bad at first. Learn from your mistakes and don't give up!
Another point and an important one is to ignore a lot of what you see on here. There are many people who know what they are talking about on bhw when it comes to YouTube but far more people who have no idea. Ive noticed a lot of people still trying methods from 2015 etc... That no longer work I. E. Compilations, low effort, AI voice shit... Its all a waste of time and you won't make a single cent.
Also, stay away from buying views, they do more harm than good. The golden days of spending penny's on high retention views to bank thousands in ad rev is long long gone unfortunately.
Edit - Don't use AI voice overs EVER as you won't get partnered.

Focus only on making quality content. Rest is just noise.
A lot of patience is required. We get carried away by earning reports of tip youtubers. But if you reach even an average stage in growth, it is a good thing. And it can take 1-2 years or more. So also get some other job to support yourself during this period.

It's probably easier now as its ever been to grow organically. Fresh accounts with original content will normally get a little push from the algorithm and if your CTR and watch time are good from the start you'll see steady growth.
Find the biggest channels in your niche and try and copy what they do but put your own spin on it.
Make longer videos 10mins + and put a lot of effort into them. Don't use AI voice over.
Stay as far away from Smm panels as possible.

Pick a niche that you actually have interest in and don't create content that has a high barrier to entry at the beginning. Keep it simple.
Make it so it's as frictionless of an experience as possible for you (or whoever). Content creation is like anything else at the start: It's habit building. If you find the experience of creating the content boring/painful... then you're likely to stop.
Quality and consistency are your two biggest keys to success!
