What I find interesting is how it has streamlined the on boarding process. The other thing I've noticed is that it seems to run on, or be connected/integrated with Mastadon.

Hey, who knows. Given some time (and assuming it doesn't go by way of G+), it might even be a good platform with it's own niche.

Interesting parts from that:

the number of daily active users on Threads has been cut in half when compared to its launch week. The app has dropped from 49 million to 23.6 million daily active users in just one week.

After its launch week, Threads sits at about a fifth the size of Twitter and about the same when it comes to daily active users.

And... is this you guys?

The app is already starting to see some of the same problems that plague Twitter like spam accounts

It's good to see some competition to twitter but I predict it will be dead in the water in a couple of weeks.

With the new payment system, Twitter will soon become the preferred choice. It just an early rush for Threads.

I was very excited about it initially, but the excitement faded away after a while when I found that there’s no hashtag or post search feature, and the ranking algo is totally shit. Sorry, but twitter had fairer algo imho (not anymore since lord musk ruined it).
