Is Threads the next big thing?

I guess so, Twitter used to be a great a platform but with the new updates and restrictions it is not the same now. So, with Threads people can have a new platform to share their ideas I think but it still needs time.

It is still early in the comparison process, but the real threads user base has a make up of more over 50% Instagram users. We can verify in the future based on usage.

Twitter is more in news now. This timing from Zuckerberg is great though.

I don't think so, if is a copy cat of twitter at some point people will go and check twitter and see that at some point is better and not that much restriction about what you can't post just allitle bit, but got tons of followers just because is new with the monts will drop.

why don't you try monetizing it and find out for yourself if it's worth the effort?

thread may be will in trending
too much meme sharing about thread and twitter

The hype around Threads is artificial as now everyone trying to jump on a train of the newly created platform and get all the traffic and money. Everyone understand that the faster you get in the lower is competition. In a month when hype is down it's going to be the nothing-special twitter clone with some minor difference.

meta is loosing billions hand over fist
to zuck need threads to harvest more data
They are loosing market share but still the monthly active users is highest on Instagram. Now all those users will be on threads.

It's just an addon app to Instagram, it's not a new user. basically, Instagram users using it.

Netflix - 3.5 years
Twitter - 2 years
facebook - 10 months
Spotify - 5 months
Instagram -2.5 months
ChatGPT - 5 days

I think whatever outlet you got this from is pushing an agenda. It's better to take information put out these days with a grain of salt, and come to your own conclusions. The trend now is to bash Twitter and talk about Threads. That's what gets clicks and that's what these outlets are going to push to make money. They're in the business of selling a story, not facts.

First off, Netflix is paid. It makes 0 sense to even put them in this list. It's 100x easier to get someone to sign up for free than getting someone to pull their credit card out and pay for something.

As others have mentioned, Threads is a product of Instagram. They have a billion users and get all the media attention to get (pump) those growth numbers. For comparison, Bluesky and Mastadon have been doing the same thing for some time and only have a fraction of those users. Clearly the demand isn't 100% organic.

For comparison, ChatGPT grew largely through word of mouth. I remember when it first launched, how many people I spoke to that weren't even in the text space that were using it and wanted to have discussions on what the future will look like. I'm not having hour long phone calls with friends because Threads is "the next big thing" that came out in the last 5 years.

Only time will tell how this all plays out, but I think Threads will only have artificial growth/engagement. Twitter and Instagram have two different audiences. Generally speaking, the heavy Instagram users aren't really on Twitter and vice versa. If the Instagram audience really wanted a Twitter clone, they would have been there already. They're only on Threads now because of FOMO.

I'd give it 3 - 6 months to see who sticks on Threads and what happens, but I think it's too early to call it. My opinion when it's all said and done is there will be only 1 Twitter. They'll lose a decent chunk to all these clones for sure, but it's not as bad as the media makes it seem for everyone to jump ship and go elsewhere.

Twitter better than thread and also zuck use base from instagram

That could be the effect of marketing but tell me which one is user friendly and load with features and no alternative yet .

Regardless of it being the next big thing or not it is an opportunity to grow your audience fast. If you remeber 2008-2010 era of Twitter when you could bank $2000 a day by running 100 twitter accounts on bots with quotes and affiliate products, you’ll figure out a way to monetize threads while it is in the growing stage and are not very strict in blocking accounts that grow on bots. So I guess the question shouldn’t be if threads will be a big thing or not but… how will I take advantage over the next 12 months, of its growths.
So here is my question. Does any of you who’ve been here for a while and who know the people who created bots like Jarvis, TwitAttacks know any bot that will automate growth on multiple accounts?
Thanks.
If any of you has a bot that works undetected, please reply here or PM me.
Thanks

I deleted threads within 24 hours. I don't do social media on a personal level (I can read books) I use it to make $$$

Social media is the same as football, politics etc. Wallpaper for the minds of the simpletons
