Sure you can get lots of "high DA backlinks" but since everyone is spamming them I'm skeptical about their power.

These links won't rank you medium-high competition keywords, but they can work for easy difficulty keywords.
You just have to make quality links from the list - not just plain backlinks, but add extra information. The best are web 2.0's and article submission sites from the list.
