Don't ignore Bing guys

You're right but still google is where all the gold is, you know the glory to get ranked first, but yeah bing is a good option but maybe a waste of effort because doesn't give the same results and google but as you say is worth the try.

Yes totally agree with you. But one thing we keep forgetting is: though Bing has a lower number of users Bing's userbase is more mature and likelier to spend money (A study carried out by Further in 2015 showed that those aged 45-64 were most likely to use Bing). The age demographic is also less ad-blind and less tech-savvy.

i find bing extremely unpredictable
i have a site that started ok on bing, then went even better, then skyrocketed, and then bing deindexed it (number of indexed pages was decreasing for a month or two until it hit zero)
it stayed that way for a several months, then suddenly number of indexed pages started to raise again (but traffic is slower to follow)
during all that time there was no drastic changes on the site, and google rankings were stable
opposite example: one site is is hated by google, but bing just adores it - i get more traffic from it than from g

You're right, I have switched from MacBook to surface laptop and tried Edge for some time. Not only Edge is well-optimized and in general feels like a better browser but bing has been my default option from DAY 1 and I have no complaints. So far only google maps works better than bing maps. Apart from that I would agree - bing with chatgpt causes big trouble for google.

Once your pages start getting indexed pay attention to the SEO suggestion section of Bing. All the suggested keywords in there are perfect for semantic keyword insertion. That's the only thing in our control after Bing indexes the site. Will not hurt to implement their suggestions to keep Bing happy.

Damn, that's how visitors find my site. Lol. I was wondered last 2 months or so, how visitors came to my site (not huge, that's why I didnt deep), and never check Bing console.
It seems Bing love my site too. Haha. Will try to optimize for Bing to test out too. Thanks OP.

Hah! We are on the same page brother. Bing loves my site more than Google for some reason.
Trust me on this and do one thing. Insert relevant affiliate links in the top-performing pages and watch the dollars flow in (I got 2 sales from pure informational articles and I feel like they are from Bing). Those occasional affiliate notifications are great for keeping the enthusiasm alive.

Hohoho. I'd definitely doing that. Thanks, mate :D

I agree. Bing has been very helpful. Bing are slowing catching up but I have found it very useful in our services.

Do u recommend promotion of website through bing paid advertising.

Bing is the default platform on Microsoft devices so we should use bing for our websites and never ignore it,

When I started my sites over 2 years ago almost all traffic was from Bing and DuckDuck. For some reason some time later that traffic is almost null but in Google I am much better (good positions in SERP) and almost all the traffic comes from Google. A pity that I lose the traffic from Bing because it was an important number, but apparently I can't have traffic with both and of course I prefer Google that now gives me more traffic.

can i see your website?
Sorry cannot reveal :) it's in the hobby/sports niche.

Someone I wanted to do a Bing joint venture with suggested this. Apparently using Bing Ads for a limited time pushes the intended keywords to top 3. I haven't tried this so not aware of it's effectiveness.
You can try and write a case study here :)
whats the fastest way to get website indexed on bing.
That's the problem with Bing. You can do nothing. Maybe except write an email to their support. Contrary to other people's experience, I received quite a fast reply from their support and maybe that's what made Bing notice my site more.

Another thing, having their indexer plugin installed on your site is a must. There's word that Google might be employing the same indexed for their services to reduce carbon footprint caused by their immense and inefficient crawlers.

But rest assured once your indexation train takes off on Bing, it won't stop :)

Since BING integrated AI chat, perhaps the solution to being accepted, indexed and ranking well may be as simple as asking BING chat? Just some salt m pepper.
The name might be Bing chat, but the barebone skeleton is that of a fine tuned GPT 4. So not sure if the answers will reveal anything but generic SEO tips that GPT 4 vomits out.

Yeah obviously Bing is not in the league with Google. But those early Bing clicks can be a good encouragement for webmasters with new sites.
Other than that, Bing has better conversion rate thanks to their non-techy boomer userbase. So paying attention to Bing's suggestions every now and then won't hurt ;)
