June Update
The site now has a total of 55 articles, not quite the 60 I was aiming for but some stuff came in the way. The articles are ranking nicely and the number of visitors has grown a lot since the last update.
What have I done in June? Well, I wanted to get the site monetized before I start adding more articles. It's easier to edit and perfect 55 posts than hundreds of posts. Adsense rejected my first application, as was expected. I then decided to make the site look a bit more professional. Changing the theme, adding a more believable about section, and fixing the homepage so it's not just the blog roll. I also edited most articles, added some extra information, and made sure they read human.
Now it's just a waiting game. I have applied for a new review with AdSense, they might reject the site again as it's still very young. In any case, I want to move the site over to Ezoic and I don't think that will be a problem at all.
Here are the stats for June:
I'm fairly confident that this AI site is a success, even though it's still early. We will have to wait and see what happens once I start uploading more content. As I mentioned earlier, as soon as I get monetized I'm going to start scheduling 2 posts per day for a few months before I bump it up to 4-5 posts per day.
As the site is not monetized yet (I just yesterday added Amazon links to all the posts), the site has no earnings. If the site had been monetized with ads in June I would probably have made closer to $10 for the month. Let's see what happens in the coming months, both in terms of traffic but also revenue.
Traffic
The number of unique visitors to the site in June was 1230, which is an increase of 412% compared to May which was only 279. That's a massive increase if you ask me, and the site is only 3 months old. We are closing in on 100 daily visitors now, with only 55 posts and absolutely no keyword research, that's a surreal feeling.
In terms of pageviews, the site got a total of 1718 pageviews in the month of June. The visitors come from all over the world, with the top 3 being US (67%), UK (15%), CA (4%).
What's Next?
Well, as I said I'm still waiting for AdSense approval. No matter what I will get it on Ezoic and hopefully start to see some revenue in July. I also want to bump the number of posts up a bit, aiming for 100 total posts in July, and then adding 60 more posts in August. Looking further into the future I want to start adding 5 posts per day in September. That would leave me with approximately 760 posts by the end of the year.
I'm not going to speculate in terms of revenue or traffic, that's just impossible. But, if we can get an average of 50 visitors per post and month, that would be a cool 38k monthly visitors (potentially). I want to create digital products for this site as well, not quite sure what that product would be yet.
Yes, this is an AI website and I'm taking things slow. Why? Because I don't want the site to crash and burn, it's more of an experiment to me. I want to see if making the site more professional will make it survive in the long run. Trying to blur the line between a regular site and AI spam blog, so far so good.
