I'm on a diet where i drink a lot of water and coffee then i eat only one meal at 8pm.

What's your diet look like?

A lot of protein (sources vary so I’m not bored), carbs and caffeine.

Almost the same but I eat my one meal earlier, which usually is either salad, fish or chicken. [intermittent fasting for 10 years]
Have u seen some change during all those 10 years?
Is it euphemism for being poor ?
Not really , just gained some weight and now trying to lose it :)

No diet at all, but I always try to drink as much water as I can and drink hot tea at night.

2 kiwis in the morning
meat/chicken + rice/bread + vegetables for dinner
chugging water and coffee for the rest of the day

I gave up eating meat 6 months ago and I'm feeling much better for it. So my diet is mainly vegetables and small amounts of fresh or smoked fish or freshly cooked shrimps.

I try and keep high-carb food to a minimum because I hate being overweight. Occasionally my body craves carbs and, if I give in to the craving, I try to balance that with more exercise.

If you're trying to lose weight here's the simple formula: EXERCISE MORE/EAT LESS!

You might think that's easier said than done, but I found a secret out when I went to live in China. Without doing anything in the way of extra exercise, I dropped weight by about 2 pounds a day for the first couple of weeks. Had to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe of clothes.

That taught me that the typical western diet is not good for you. High in sugar and carbs and dairy and wheat. The China diet is fresh cooked fish and wok fried meat with lots of vegetables, no dairy, no bread, the only grain being rice. Also, eating with chopsticks slows you down and gives more time for your stomach to say 'I'm reasonably full' without stuffing yourself silly.

I'm convinced that the western diet has been manipulated by the food companies to encourage us to consume more (of course they would). Not only fast food but typical, packaged, supermarket food too. It's even difficult to find unsweetened bread.

Recently China has been heavily bombed by western food companies. It started with MacDonalds and KFC, which became fashionable for the young, and has now extended to sweet cakes and drinks too. Also sweetened yoghurt and bread is growing in popularity and, whereas 10 years ago a fat Chinese was a rarity, weight is now becoming a problem for a large section of the Chinese community. Not that they're obese by western standards, but it won't be long in coming.

Anyway, if I keep sugary foods and drinks at bay, consume mainly fresh fruit and vegetables, lightly cooked or smoked fish, and exercise regularly - I'm only talking long, brisk, countryside walks or swimming - then I can keep my weight under control.

Maybe all this will help some of you? Feel free to discuss.
