I have a lots of things on my desktop, but still I'm able to focus to me is to feel confortable so I don't get stressed while I'm working.

Give me internet, a cardboard box to sit in, some kind of kiddie stool with a desk big enough to hold a laptop and a TV with ESPN highlights rolling 24/7 on the wall of the box, slip me a pizza now and then and I'm golden.

I keep a copy of everyday items I use in the office so I don't have to carry to the office daily. Besides that, my place is very organized and very comfortable to sit for hours together.

The preference between keeping distractions to a minimum or having a full setup in a home office can vary. The thing is I looked up minimalist styles, there is so much empty spaces, this is what distract me, I always feel an urge to fill it, wether a new IKEA tablle, a poster or something that match the decor.

It was nice hearing about all of you guys think about this, I too I'am efficient with a laptop alone, but then I need a bigger monitor, a table for my whiskey, a chair next to the window to sit on while drinking my whiskey, then a bookshelf and you got a solo man cave that you need to arrange.

My home office is real zany. I thought it was important to fill it was stuff I liked being around.

My wife and I share our home office, so we actually have a joint set up with the L-shaped desks up against the wall to form one U-shaped desk. The computers are set up on these desks. There's another desk I nicknamed "The Science Desk" that has microscopy equipment.

The walls are filled with stuff. The one behind our computer desk has framed degrees, certificates, a few small paintings, our marriage certificate, and a really random frame with a speeding ticket I got nearly 5 years ago that also has 100 billion Zimbabwean dollars in it.

I also have a painting of "Bold & Brash" and a 13-hour clock from that movie Labyrinth that @BassTrackerBoats hates.

Not the exact clock, but you get the idea.

Anything is fine- messy or clean. Just absolutely no food on the desk or near the desk.

Black wallpaper help me a lot for starting the day. At least, I don't mind with cleaning my desktop.
