:) My [Journey] AI Blogging Sites (Yes, another one). Display ads [ Goal 5000$ USD a month with 500 000 Pageviews ] :)

Guys sorry no answering questions this time. Ive been thinking to stop the journey but my mood, keeps flip flopping on it.

I just gonna give the May progress update since the month is over And I want to give the ones who gave me enjoyment to this point an update.

View attachment 260286

May revenue grew, the site still doesnt show slowing down in growth or earnings even though offseason has started. I successfully grew traffic, revenue, and epmv another month in a row.

Ill likely hit 5000$ faster than anticipated vs traffic gain because the epmv has been rising at a decent rate even though industry wide rates are still mostly depressed.

This makes me excited for if we get a good year and I still have similar traffic, id be making a lot more from this tiny little site.

We failed to hit 2500$ by 40$

That being said, we can more or less consider this the halfway mark of the journey goal even if I discontinue updating it.

Just a reminder to people that say all journeys that end out of nowhere, end because the site died, this is currently the all time high of the site.

Good luck on your own projects everyone. Remember, do not give up when you are getting traction. But cut loses if you are working on something that is dead end.

Ive just counted the top 100 articles on the website year to date by traffic.

46 of those articles are from the old website before AI was added.

So AI articles year to date (even counting the head start the other articles got since I didnt even start ai till mid feb)

now makes up more than 50% of my top articles by traffic. But much more than even that since most the traffic generated on the site comes in

to ai articles now.

Along with the increased favor my site has gotten from the influx of natural links to the thousands of articles, even my human articles are getting boosted.

(old human articles were updated but I still consider them human as they largerly retain their historic form, but it is possible their increase in traffic is just from

being updated and nothing to do with the site power rising).

Hello. What in niche your website?

Would love to keep following your progress here. Congrats on the significant growth rates.

Was inspired and started working on my old blog with AI content, first week was improvement like 100UV's per day form 20 however from 3 days, its 11 impressions and today its just 6. Majority of results removed from SE. Feeling demotivated. Not sure what else to do.

so far because this thread, i make my new site niches. hope all ready to setup, cant wait to do this by myself like you.
thanks for inspiring us anyway

Sorry guys, im still not free enough to answer the questions, but reading these 2 I just really felt the need to mention this for people who do not know it is a thing yet.

Weaker websites posting a ton of AI content seem to get "shadow banned" as what happened to my site #2 originally. My site #1 is likely just strong enough to take the beating.

From some tests ive seen people do, and things ive seen with people im close to, I do not suggest posting more than 5 posts on a brand new site a day.

We have no set in stone confirmation of things but it seems very appearent that google is tackling AI spam by limiting new sites that start blasting, and many people

are not able to recover domains after the drop, and in many cases the domain itself can have good backlinks already but it wouldnt matter if the domain hasnt been

running for some months to years already without being down (as people are having isses with medium strength expired domains, but things like pbn domains that have

only been in operation for backlinks sometimes can handle thosands dumped onto it).

That being said, If you get slapped down and pages start de indexing, I personally would just set a schedule of posts to publish slowly (like 1 a day or every 2 days) over
the next few months, and move on to a new domain where you must take things slower.

Do not waste any money you have already spent, use the keyword reasearch from your old website to publish articles on the new ones that you think have the highest chance

to rank fast. if the original website never recovers (no one can know for certain if the shadow ban lasts forever or ig google uses it to just slow down spammers ) then after a year or so, 301

the old site to whatever new site you have that is working. Reduce costs on your dead sites by removing anything you are paying for in "premium" on it. This way you can let them sit for months

without costing you too much to just watch them while you restart the project in a more controlled manner on a different domain.

You will still be able to publish more content than most people ever could before but I suggest people do some "old school" SEO and specifically target weak keywords if they are not working with a website that

was already strong.

Im still getting new websites the grow just by doing that and limiting the post number per day. However even up to recent stress tests, the moment you start ramping up

post production on some weak domains google slaps you even if you were taking it slow before.

Thanks for your post, it was really needed. I was doing 20 articles a day. Anyways not much of a financial loss rather i enjoyed the process and thanks to you, it reignited my interest in whole thing.

thanks for honest choice for that.

actually i had a niche about anime news before, i was spamming about making 30 posts daily, in 1 month i was thriving but in 3rd month google deleted it and the traffic was messed up.

so i did research, about minimum maximum, good or not, how to do something related to site development.

on a new site I would just set out to target weaker keywords and build on them first.

i would never spam, i'm scared to be honest lol.

I like it when it gives me consistent results instead of going up and down like futures trading

Same shit, different toilet. Had some projects where we did not publish anything on a daily basis, but published a lot (many thousands of posts) immediately on fresh domains. Not even AI-generated content, mind you. It was valuable, perfectly readable translated content that was well liked when shared on social media.

But it seems that simply publishing a lot of content in a short timeframe (perhaps especially on fresh domains) can already get you penalized in an instant currently. No manual actions in Google Search Console, but the domains have been dead for months.

It's quite bizarre. Imagine you had, say, a large website with, e.g., 50k English posts. Given a suitable topic, you might translate all of these into another language, say Spanish, where the content would be just as relevant and, given the extremely high quality of machine translation from English to Spanish these days, would obtain excellent, highly readable results. But... just by publishing a lot of content very quickly, some automated spam detection algorithm from Google might consider this "suspicious", with Google being paranoid about people flooding the web with low quality AI content. Which is a very reasonable form of paranoia, of course, but it can affect decent websites as well. Even if you're not pumping out piles of ChatGPT fluff or the like, you might get domains killed just because you end up in Google's net like dolphins caught in tuna nets.

Currently pondering how to deal with this for new projects we'll be starting soon. Maybe using aged/expired domains, but that can be pricy. We'll probably register lots of new domains and only post about 5 to 10 posts per day on each. Horizontal scaling.

So, something funny I saw today, was looking at this guy whos pbn got hit, all his niche related backlinks were from his own PBN, I just thought it was funny when I looked at this, how obvious it looks visually that something odd is going on.

1685980816781.png

With all the niche related sites heavily interlinking with each other and clustered together.

Thanks for your post, it was really needed. I was doing 20 articles a day. Anyways not much of a financial loss rather i enjoyed the process and thanks to you, it reignited my interest in whole thing.
You are welcome, In some weird way, I would say maybe it is for the best to welcome things like this, as now content is no longer a barriar to ranking, for us once we are making money it

feels very unstable if lone wolves can all reach that scale so fast. I feel bad for everyone who needs to scale up but once you are scaled up you will understand why we need walls to slow down

others or we would all make nothing. As sad as it is. Maybe in our lifetime AI utopia might become a thing and we no longer need to fight for every single edge over others to live happy (unlikely but I rather imagine that

that the opposite)
thanks for honest choice for that.

I can understand being scared of it, but this is why for me who has the ability to do many tests, I can rest easy and spam things to see what happens.

Too much people going around telling others what works and doesnt work even though they have no idea what they are talking about and never tested it themself.

I think if someone wants to be really careful, then just putting more effort into the research for the right keywords and publishing only 1 a day might get better fruits with lower risk.

That way you arent publishing stuff you would never have ranked for anyways, but you can still produce 365 in a year.

If you diversify those awesome 365 into social media, make youtube vids on them etc, you would probably be better off than someone blasting 10000 after 3- 5 years time.

Usually the top articles on most websites will make the majority of the revenue, so in theory someone can optimize to only write things with a high likelyhood of becoming top article.

Im not sure what you are getting at because it sounds like you disagree with me, but then you go on to say many of the same things ive said and talked about so im not sure if you acutally disagree with me.

I do disagree with you in one thing, it is not the volume by itself, it is the volume + weakness of the domain.

Me and my partner have done tests and overwhelmingly, when the domain is strong and natural, we can lay down thousands of articles on it with no ill effect.

1685981840410.png

Websites that have success, already had traffic, and were already decently strong, if you look at them from a tool, you will just see keywords and traffic go Vertical and continue that way for months.

Thosands of websites look just like this in the keyword tools including mine from this case study with 30000 articles (this is fully shown on tools so their is no real hiding it)

Main thing in common you will see with these websites is the gains only happen after GPT became main stream and everyone knows about it, because that is when the most webmaster started messing around with it.

Even to your point of the website translations, I disagree if the website is strong.

Because these same AI sites, me and my partner have translated some, and even then after quadrupling the post count in a single week, the websites do not fall.

From every single thing ive seen, it is not at all random what sites are being let free and which ones are dropping to 0. Google likely made thresholds or cut offs to try and avoid hitting already massive and established sites would would

also start ramping up content production because they have the man power to maintain quality.

For example, a DA 38 unmanipulated website (By unmanipulated I mean it has never had active link building, it reached that DA naturally from the business just existing) of a (ill say pest control but that isnt the exact niche) website

was being used by someone I was working with in april, the site did not even have more than 100 posts. (for comparison, my website had around 300 posts before AI ever touched it).

We added AI content, 22 000 posts in 3 weeks time and the website is still going strong, traffic has increased by numbers we cant even bother to count.

It actually makes me jealous I didnt have a domain that strong to blast content on. The website had links from some of the biggest websites (imagine forbes etc but im not gonna name them)

because of business related ventures that got it organic links (volunteer work, just imagine things that get you un newspapers naturally).

Now im not gonna lie, at the time we were still early in testing lot of this stuff so we didnt know how it would turn out, the back up plan was just to remove the posts and save them

for drip feed on different websites after they de index, and then 301 the original websites power to a new project if this one failed. Luckily it didnt fail.

----------------------------------

In the same time, a DA 16 website (unmanipulated but extremely weak, however was getting great traffic for its power because it targeting low difficulty only keywords) ended up like this after only adding

200 posts in a single day

1685983102583.png

Ive seen this same thing repeated with multiple manipulated DA websites (doesnt matter if they were da 40-50-60, if the website itself has no proper power then it seems to fail hard when volume is put on it). (just to be clear, manipulated is unnatural DA created from active link building, pbns, comment blasts etc, I specify the difference because DA from manipulated

sites is a worthless metric to me as they were created and not naturally occured from real webmasters giving backlinks).

This is not to bash back link selling people, so nobody here who breathes backlinks should be on my case, im just saying I do not consider manipulated sites when im looking at how volume is affecting the site.

Because obviously it is possible to have backlinks built in a natural way and produce good results, but it is harder to draw conclusions when looking at sites blasted with shitlinks especially when such sites dont represent the majority of sites on the internet.

TLDR:

Nothing is gauranteed, all these sites making gains right now might end up in googles net eventually.

But currently is it Different shit (Weak or Strong Websites mass publish) , Same toilet (google).

Everything I see in the field shows things like this to me, and this is how im gonna talk about it

Id be lying if I was telling people I see no pattern. Technically I gain nothing from saying all this but I dont

think I had talked about some of these things here yet so you gave me an oppertunity to get them off my mind ig.

Although I might have misunderstood the intention of your message.

Log story short my statements before were based on what im actually seeing, and not on what people have told me

so I wanted to make it clearer.

Im random guy on the internet with an Animal PFP, so you guys decide yourself if you will trust my words or not since I obviously cant give out domain names.

Currently pondering how to deal with this for new projects we'll be starting soon. Maybe using aged/expired domains, but that can be pricy. We'll probably register lots of new domains and only post about 5 to 10 posts per day on each. Horizontal scaling.
Also, forgot to specifically adress this, I think Horizontal scaling is safer but it is costlier, on the bright side the content itself costs little to nothing so can we really complain?

I have not seen great success with aged domains even when they seem strong (talking about with massive content blasts).

Domains that werent consistently running and indexed seem at a disadvantage to me. Some people have had success though but at a point, if you are buying them and it is not ones you already owned,

do you really want to potentially destroy the domain when you could just do better targeted posting?

Not disagreeing with you at all, just to be clear. Quite the opposite, we're on the same page here. By "same shit, different toilet" I was merely referring to the "shadow banning". We hava a bunch of domains, for instance, where thousands of pages (of translated content) are still being indexed, but not being ranked, with traffic being practically zero at this point.

I guess the gambling aspect involved here is just extremely annoying to me. Register N fresh domains, publish Xk posts on each, some go nowhere, others make new traffic records for months on end. With our limited sample size at least, it is very unclear to me what conclusions can be drawn, if any. But on the bright side, indeed, it is cheap to throw more domains and content at the wall and see what sticks.

Thanks a lot for describing some of your own observations, especially in regards to "strong" or aged domains.

Thanks for the clarification, and my bad for misunderstanding what you meant by same shit different toilet.

The gambling is annoying to me aswell, as im extremely impatient these days, because for as long as ive been in this

content was the bottle neck, now it is not the bottle neck it hurts that outside forces are preventing scaling up.

But at the same time, without these forces then we have no protection once we DO manage to make money scaling.

Site number 1 of this case study and some other sites ive seen have given me hope for this but obviously ive pushed my luck a

ton with the current 30 000 articles.

Many of which have dropped out the top 100 over time but many of which have rised to become traffic gaining articles.

So far with my testing, I can revive articles that have fallen out of the top 100 so they are not fully lost but many of them

need actual care and "SEO" to ensure they actually rank where they are meant to rank.

So while pumping out more thousands and collecting more of the random winners ill get is feasable, it is probably better for me long term

to just work on making the articles already published, rank as high as possible.

Since just based on the potential keywords these 30000 target, id be able to get millions of visits if they all ranked for #1 spot (which is a lot to ask for when im not even link building so this is not a logical hope)

Im only mentioning it to show that making each indivdual acticle count over publishing thousands can still work.

I forgot the exact stats but I think ive said something before like the top 1000 articles bring in 75% of the traffic or something like that, whatever it is, it is true.

That is just to show you how much articles have potential ive not allowed them to gain yet.

Although it is sad to me that even with all my work on the code etc, many of the articles just wont reach their full potential without

real onpage being done to them. (I can technically just go on a link building camp instead but im trying to keep costs low on side projects)

Hello. Easy is less AR (DR) 30 or less then 20?
I dont necessarily mean any sort of metric, im plainly talking about things like, if the results have forms and weak sites with weak backlinks etc. This is something you look for based on you own websites power. Like to a stronger website a whole page of DA 20 sites is a cake walk begging for you to take the traffic.
@Jaordas Massive thanks for a truly inspirational post, very honest and transparent in your answers. You've inspired me to try this as I'm already using chatgpt and have been looking for a profitable way to use it.

My idea is to cast my net a bit wider and start 10 fresh sites in different niches so I can either narrow them down to the most successful or maybe they'll all do as well as your site 2 then i'm laughing lol and I'll just have 10x the work to do.

Quick question, say for site 2 that you made, do you have any considerations when picking domain names? I mean it used to be a thing to use keyword domain names, also do you just go the cheapest or do you go for .com etc?

Also on the most successful sites do you think it would be worth using a service like this? Bearing in mind the most successful sites I'm going to be seeing as a longer term investment

Cheers for the great info mate and I'd wish you luck but you don't need luck when you've got brains
Thanks for your words of encouragement. I hope you can do aswell as my site 2 without making the same mistake that almost made me lose the site lol.

If you can repeat that on multiple sites then you would be in a good spot and more diversified than if one single site was hit.

I think I talked about it more in detail before but just in case I havent, I HATE ugly domains, I will not even buy them unless the website was just extremely powerful and cheap

All websites I ever make are not made with keywords in the name, they are made with brandable names that work in all niches or at least a majority of niches.

For example, the word "forbes" might mean practically nothing, so you can write about any topic under the name and it wouldnt seem to not make sense.

Vs someone with a domain like " CatLand" trying to expand into real estate.

Ideally I always use a domain that id never need to change for not reason, even if I started selling clothes or make up the domain must still fit.

This way the site keeps value to more sellers (the buyer does not need to want a site in your exact niche, as the name is broad enough for them to expand)

If I wanted to buy a boat website, id rather by a weaker boating site called "Oceanax" (I didnt look these up so idk if they exist, but a name like this can write about boats, sea life, or even become a beach atire brand) vs an domain called "boatpropellerdude".

It is insane to still be working SEO in a why that you must use exact match domain to get results.

My names must be broad enough to sell to anyone, sure some people might think some branded names are that good sounding but on principle many will be better than the garbage names

floating around on flippa for months unable to sell.

"mattressspringtester.c0m" or things like that just have aweful resale value to non SEOs. Since while SEOs would by it and use 301, regular people who just wanted a head start without

all the technical stuff would cringe reading them.

This is also why my site 2 even sold so quick and easy, the person looking to buy isnt even directly in the niche of the site, but the site is related enough that it was a worthy by for them.

I did get one update on the site that the traffic is still growing which is nice, but a lot of that was priced into my decision to sell so it was expected.

Btw, I dont want to comment on any services offered on BHW, since you know.... we are on that website and im not about bad blood. Ill leave my statement at that.

Really glad to see your progress op
Thanks !!!
keep us inspired bro, I just started my affiliate AI blog, planning to add display ads also
I cant make any promises but hopefully the journey so far was encouraging. if anything it is part of AI SEO history on this website since it started so close to when chat gpt first hit the world.

SEO is unlikely to be the same after this years turning point.

Hello. What in niche your website?
lmao,

same as it was on day 1 page one of the whole journey, above the fold when you load the website.

Hi @Jaordas
thanks for all the info!
What are your thoughts on the following posting scenario:

New domain, nice brandable name, for example: "greatshirts.com"
- 8 posts per day on the domain (for the first 1 - 2 months, then increase)
BUT
also
- 8 posts for translated versions of that site (subdomains, not folders), lets say to 6 languages:
(de.greatshirts.com, fr.greatshirts.com)
So its actually 8 posts on main domain (english) and 6 x 8 (48 posts) on translated versions (as subdomains). That is total of 56 posts per day.

I know subdomains are treated differently (almost like a different site) so I'm hoping such scenario is "safe" for posting but I'm interested in your opinion (or anybody else who has such experience).
Thanks!

First of all, id never call a domain as limited as
"greatshirts.com"
Nice and Brandable ever, like that is soooo limited, what are you supposed to do? write about shirts forever? and even if it sorta makes sense to expand and write about shirt materials, the name would still
be horribly limited branding wise. It would make less sense for you to sell other clothings like coats, bikinis etc. On top of shirts being cheap and not that good of affiliate items.
Would you buy a shirt with the word "Great Shirts" blasted on the front? That would take a lot of marketing to even turn into a brand, but people would not know what the word
"Gucci" means and by a shirt with the word on it even at times before your brand gets big.

Even the word "ugly stik" which is primarily for fishing rods is 10 x more brandable. As they can sell bags and all sorts of fishing gear with that word on it and it still makes sense.
1686060813890.png1686060824640.png1686060837512.png1686060865214.png

How would you like to use a knife with the word "great shirts" on it? it doesnt make sense for the same way you would bottleneck yourself for selling just about any other clothing item that isnt a darn shirt.

Then if the domain manages to take off, then within a year time you will run out of shirt related content.

A domain name like that sounds like the aweful ones many youtubers try to tell people are "great" when the domain name has a single item in the name.

Then god forbid you ever get tired of writing about shirts, it doesnt help that most shirts are the same, the only differences is color and BRAND, but yet the brand name of the domain is aweful.

That being said, this is all my opinion and no one needs to listen, but imo, if the domain name doesnt look good on items and merch, then it isnt brandable. This especially makes reselling it harder.

Because the name just alienated people who wanted to sell sweaters, hoodies, jackets, cardigans, pullovers, sweatshirts, vests, blazers, kimonos, ponchos, shrugs, boleros, capelets, tunics, coats, bikinis, bras, and bodysuits.

you get the point.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All that aside, I dont see anything wrong with your plan but as I said before, anything over 5 posts a day is playing with fire.

I do think google would treat the translated subdomains differently and you can get away with it, but keep in mind

I personally have not tested that and on all translated sites I always keep them in subfolders personally since I try to keep all backlinks to anything on my site

no matter the language, to power up the whole domain. Especially since foreign languages often are easier to get backlinks on from bigger companies.

Obviously you need to know how to deal with it and not overdo it so google doesnt think your site shouldnt be ranking in english etc if all its backlinks are french.

Backlinks can have lowered weights but still help a site overall.

Some time this month im gonna try to do a test in blasting content on a fresh subdomain in random non english language, I want to test if the shadow banning works the same

way in other langs aswell, or if it is just english google having the most hit.

Hi,
thanks for the detailed answer:).
- Braniding, OK i understand.

- Subdomains/Subfolders
Yeah I know, subfolders pass PR (its the same domain), while subdomains not. But if main domain is banned then all goes to shit (while with subdomains thatt is not the case).
Both ways have their pros and cons.
I will also test both (subdomains and subfolders).

Thanks again!

I dont necessarily mean any sort of metric, im plainly talking about things like, if the results have forms and weak sites with weak backlinks etc. This is something you look for based on you own websites power. Like to a stronger website a whole page of DA 20 sites is a cake walk begging for you to take the traffic.

Thanks !!!

I cant make any promises but hopefully the journey so far was encouraging. if anything it is part of AI SEO history on this website since it started so close to when chat gpt first hit the world.

SEO is unlikely to be the same after this years turning point.

lmao,

same as it was on day 1 page one of the whole journey, above the fold when you load the website.

@Jaordas thanks alot mate that's exactly how I feel, as soon as I see a domain like that I won't click on it I've always thought going the brand direction was better so thanks for clearing that up. Also thanks for not answering (but answering) the question about the services lol.

Im only mentioning it to show that making each indivdual acticle count over publishing thousands can still work.
Hi @Jaordas
Thank you for sharing your journeys. I have a question, for your site 1 you shared that you got all the keywords from all the sites in your niche and then combined them or was out compound, i forget. Then you created your content. How did you decide on what to create for your content for your niche? For example, did you find all the questions for your niche? I have my pillar content for my niche and thats been going good for my site. I want to increase with more content that supports my pillar content. I know what topic i want to dominate 1st as my theme has many angles and can still support my pillar content. Just don't know how to decide on content, this is why i'm asking. Also what software do you use to get this research & If you used sites like ahref can you share a free alternative to get close to the results?

Also want to say your approach to focus more on the topic than keywords in terms of writing everything about it, then moving on to the next topic is an approach I've never heard but like alot. Your way helps me focus on a goal, while still seeing the potential of growing my site. I usually look at long-tail. I look forward to your reply.

Somehow, even in off season, we are still hitting new all time highs even though

the growth has significantly slowed down. Some articles in the thousands published are "in season" during this time of year

however I orginally dont see any way that volume can normally make up for the volume lost as

niche wide, summer is a dead zone.

That being said, the articles that are just reaching their potentials, along with the articles coming into their own season

are driving the resistance against revenue drop, and even still slowly growing the revenue.

That along with ad placement and content optimization for ads increasing site wide EPMV.

Yesterday was a new all time high single day for the site, even though ive not actually added any new posts in a good while, just the

constant low volume posts on a schedule to keep the site "active"

1686248595446.png

We need to reach an average of $166.66

a day in order to reach the goal of this journey, so the closer we get to that number (and surpass it in order to make it become average)

is the better.

trailing 30 day earnings are :
1686248741523.png

so we can firmly see this journey is more than half way over.

Still less than 5000 of the posts make up the majority of the revenue, and in possible revenue from ranking the posts

is way higher than want this journey needed to be completed anyways.

while more posts blasting might get us there faster, it could also hurt us. Ideally I want to just reach the goal without needing to do more.

I dont particularly want the site to fall off the face of the earth if it doesnt need to, so eventually it might become a spam clean up opperation

and I may sell it or start product launching.

That being said, it is just a test run so if it does fall, so be it anyways.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A note of regret.

So, their are many things I regret how I handled them initially, especially since I hate creating automation to clean up my own mistakes made from automation in the first place.

Something I just want to say for people who are working along with me.

I heavily regret that the first 4000-10000 posts were done with such little word count and quality.

Since the earliest keywords in a project are usually the best keywords, many of these early posts are the ones that need the most updating and head ache for me

as they were the posts with the most upside, but time and time again im seeing that if my wordcount was simply just larger, then they would have ranked

easier to begin with. This is because my website was not strong enough on its own to make the most of those 500 word posts.

Obviously a stronger website would not need great word counts, but for this specific case, ive wasted my chances to rank on many terms with the first pushes (even though

Many succeed). I say this because while producing content is easy for me, I have issues removing targeting content, so it is not

as easy for me to extract the best posts from the orginal posts, and delete all the worthless ones, and have new content re written for them in a space of time quick enough that

google doesnt deindex them or id need to deal with other BS.

The solution so far to this has been having my team seek out the best potential ones and manually putting them on a hit list to be re done (this is different from the other

method we have been doing where we update best performers).

But as you can imagine, it is mind numbing to need to go through thousands of posts, and re go through keyword reasearch while at the same time needing to

keep in mind hundreds of these posts have already been updated, so you need to manually check many posts.

TLDR, I wish I had articles as good as I do now, back when I started. As while the no images, ai spammy 500 word articles orginally got me growth, they left

a lot of money on the table for higher volume keywords that I could have easily ranked with just more content on each individual page.

I also dont think blindly regenerating these articles at scale is a good thing, it would feel like I just wasted all the original money for no reason.

I also have better uses of my api limit anyways.

Im not saying im a perfect human at estimating ROI, but im fairly sure the lost ROI from me using shit generations at the start is significant.

As easily these groups of wasted articles would each have 10-100x the value per single article of the thousands of articles that followed them, which were practically just

to soak up low volume keywords in the niche.

btw, im gonna mention, I know word count is a contested thing in SEO, but you would be surprised how differently some of your articles get treated just based on word count.

In my niche specifically it favors greater word counts as people who click on these types of pages was all the infomation on the topic on that single page.

Unlike other niches where users hate to see too much extra information (say, you just want to see a recipe, you don't want to know about the history of why

people eat eggs).

That being said, and I want you all to learn from this when you are doing your content on a good domain, since it wastes money to have to remake the content based on necessity.

Many content im remaking dont necessarily need to be re made from the later batches, but it helps as it can add fact checking and other such things into the final product (your post is the product if you only run ads).

If you can be proud of your post then you can share it all over the place, pinterest etc, and it will be valuable, but this is long term business ideology, if you as a reader are only interested in spamsite

quick cash then it is useless information.

Now with that regret in mind im gonna move on to the comments / questions.

Hi,
thanks for the detailed answer:).

This is true, sadly so much things on google work heavily from the eyes of backlinks, so starting things on fresh sub domain is slow af if you arent

trying to manipulate in some way, or carefully planning content going after the bottom of the barrel keywords.

If you have any interesting findings after testing, id love for you to share. (even knowing what doesnt work helps)

Yes, I can relate hard. However to a lesser extent ill still trust the domains information if I ran across it.

Often times the naming sense doesnt always match up with content quality.

Like id trust ice fishing blog posts from a domain called "icefishingmommy.c0m" or something stupid like that if the content is good.

however, the only people who would rebuy the domain is SEOs who just want to use it to back link/ 301, and the rare 0.001% of people who just happen

to be looking to make an ice fishing blog, and is a mother, and also doesnt hate that name.

Me and my partner always look at some of these domains selling, and know only SEOs are gonna buy them as nobody who wants a legit brand would (unless they are their own SEO, and are gonna 301 it the same way to get rid of the ugly name).

We make best on how low the price is gonna fall before some seo is willing to buy it based on backlinks alone.

Im pretty sure I have a post somewhere in here where I go into detail already, so look back if you want a better response.

Thank you for sharing your journeys.

I just didnt everything, with the scale of AI I had no reason to leave any keyword out so down to keywords saying they have 1 volume a month, I put everything together and clustered in Lowfruits (explained in earlier posts).

I try to keep it simple in my head. Do you have a fishing blog? well then every possible question about fishing that you can find with volume should be covered.

Answering questions also ranks you for the non question search words. Like a giant keyword say, "ice fishing", if you have a blog post for a term. "what is ice fishing" or "how to do ice fishing" then you are capable

to possibly appear for the non question keywords aswell. All keywords are actually questions even though they dont all look like questions.

One of the only reasons 18,100 would type the words "ice fishing" into google is to learn what it is, or how to do it. So by answering every question in existence with volume in your niche, you will

have a blog post that can potentially rank for almost any term in your entire niche somewhere on your website. (excluding commercial keywords like "what is the best fishing rod for ice fishing" )

As I filter those out, since they will likely require an afflilate post and currently im not able to create good enough ones automatically.

For example, did you find all the questions for your niche?

yes, you just get in whatever tool you have and start going down the line, what, how, where, why, when, who etc etc etc etc until you have everything.

Sorry, if their was a good enough free alternative, everyone would be using it, or I wouldnt be using Ahrefs in the first place if their was one (those aholes and the action limits......... on a tool you pay 100 for a month............... I hope some new tool comes and rug pulls their whole business (not to wish bad on them but I just dont like the decisions in pricing and how they treat the paying customers)). The game is pay to play.

just use whatever you can afford as if you dont have the money to pay for a good tool, then you likely dont have the money to properly use the extra data.

Ahrefs KD is just really useful to me since it considers nothing else but backlinks, so it is good for looking at how much promotion (backlinks) is even needed to rank on certain serps

and ignoring things like the strength of the ranking websites. Like, some random 400 word business insider article might rank and make all other tools show

the keyword as high dificulty, but in reality, a DR 25 site could easily beat a shitty 400 word article that has no backlinks, from a massive website.

If you have like a dr/da 40-50 ish website then just about any keyword that shows low kd on ahrefs is near insta rank 1 for you with a good article.

I have an ubersuggest account for fooling around on (pervents wasing ahrefs clicks) and for the most part it can give you the lists of keywords you would need.

and be able to export them. If you are not article blasting thousands (which is dangerous depending on the website), you will never use them all, so it doesnt really matter too much.

Also want to say your approach to focus more on the topic than keywords in terms of writing everything about it, then moving on to the next topic is an approach I've never heard but like alot.

I dont think it is particularly unique (im not the first) but it is effective.

Depending on topic size, covering a single niche topic alone is enough to feed your family. Like imagine a website like succulentsandsunshine, they cover one single sub section

of the whole niche "gardening" and just perfecting that section and monetization alone is more money that many people who just have broad gardening websites will ever make.

I think 3 or so years ago, the owner had done an interview with income school or something to talk about how much they were making, idk if that video is still up but the website itself

is still going.

Your way helps me focus on a goal, while still seeing the potential of growing my site. I usually look at long-tail. I look forward to your reply.

The beauty of just doing the full topic, is that you will cover not only the long tail, but all the bigger keywords too.

So by the end of your campaign in a topic, you will have written on every single long tail that was worth writing on since you wrote everything in the first place.

Their will be no "maybe I should have done an article on this" or "I need to go back and do an article on this thing"

because it will all be done (except for "best " affiliate posts).

just an example in ubersuggest (no affliliation with these tools, and not an endorsement)

1686270486859.png

1686270548074.png

Then just create an article for everything that needs its own article (some keywords will obviously be repeats or mean the same thing, this is why you cluster to remove them).

You also will need to use common sense and google sheets to reword some keywords, like I got "how to ice fishing" because I did not specifically put "ice fish" as one of the 3 terms ubersuggest allows, but

commons sense would tell you that the real keyword people are searching is "how to ice fish"

if you dont catch these, gpt can correct them to make more sense, and you can correct them at scale in google sheets with a gpt extension.

1686270838230.png

This is not the prompt I use btw, it is just for example, so play around with your prompts before doing anything at scale because otherwise gpt might

end up generating a ton of garbage because it didnt properly understand your intentions.

To maximize profit, if you have a team, then as you start ranking keywords, you should have someone go back and add afflilate links to relevant posts.

Like a post on "how to dress for ice fishing" would be wasted potential without some affiliate links.

If you already created your gear guides then you can link your "best" posts directly from that article.

Like "best blah blah blah, tools for breaking / cutting the ice/ staying warm/ safety/ etc etc.
