godaddy auctions are a pure scam

I was also affected by the GoDaddy auction, I bought a domain from their auction but after several days it didn't appear on my dashboard so I asked about that. They responded it is not available for some reason so I insisted to refund my money around $200, I got my money instantly but the real catch is you can't get your money on your bank account but instead added to Godaddy balance. You can't withdraw that balance to your bank account.

They forced me to use those funds on their services, this is totally unacceptable but without other options, I moved on.
I'm using PayPal with Godaddy so the money refunded back to my PayPal account, not as godaddy balance. Perhaps you should change your payment method to Paypal for hassle free.

I don't know about that, Thanks for the tip

A couple of days I won an auction for a domain. I was expecting the domain to appear on my control panel , after 2 days, I just phoned them. The owner has renewed the domain on namecheap. Indeed , godaddy is auctioning something that they don´t own. They speculate with the fact that the previous owner won´t renew the domain and selling it to the best bet on the auction.

They say the will give me my money back, anyway , I paid 6 bucks to get access to their scammy auction system for a year.

F*uck you , godaddy
that's exactly what they are.. scammers. This once happened to me as well. Stay well from them. So what is the alternative out there?

LoL so many people are like "stay away from them" - good you do that, ill get the domains cheaper, as there is no better auctions + all auctions work this way. :D

coming back to say that finally the domain is mine. After being told the domain was renewed, surprisingly received an email saying the transfer of the domain is complete and I am the new owner.

Anyway, I will transfer it away from godaddy as soon as I can

60 days. :D

welcome to the gang of goddady haters. Let the world know about fraudsters :)
What gets me about Godaddy and their scammy ass auction is how they let owners of complete shit domains place bids on straight trash ass domains that aren't worth a fuck, you will see with 150 bids they domain is only worth 100 bucks if that and it will be on 16-22k sometimes in the 40-50k no flipping way. That just spells out scammy ass fuck right there, just hoping some sucker will come and bid and then bet all bids will stop. Lol i just saw a domain at auction starting bid was 15k it had one bid guess what the first bid was 24k who in the fuck is going to bid 24k being rge only bid which starting bid is 15k ontop of that i looked up the domain is was a shitty domain gtfout.com no age no keyword worthless, yet its starting bid was almost doubled the first bid. It was bot. They arent even trumying to hide tge scam its very obvious. domains that have action are bids made from bots that godaddy does on one's they own. It's one of those two ways. Probably both. Then you will see great domains not have one fucking bid not one. And anyone that typically knows about auctions are domain savvy so they areny going to bid on that shit. I'm starting to believe this entire Industry is one fucking gigantic scam and there is absolutely no aftermarket sales. The only sales being made are by the main people who own 1-3 letter dot coms and the registrars. And I'm nit to far off on this being complete fact not unless you sell a 25k domain for 50 bucks will you be able to sell anything fuck godaddy they should be put out of business and the owner be brought up on every type of fraud there is. Scam fuckers

no idea what aftermarket sales are (I can google it, no need to explain), but yeah, the domaining industry is a scam... like many other industries unfortunately. We live in a world dominated by technocrats and financial engineers (which are slowly disappearing, thank god!)...

fuck godaddy they should be put out of business and the owner be brought up on every type of fraud there is. Scam fuckers
couldn't agree more :)

Couldn't agree more brother. Their scam tactics and pocket burning and soul drenching captalist arse should be burned down to ashes

the completely domain industry is full of scammers. I have the same problem with many domain catch companies. If they catch premium and 2-3 letter domains, they resell it via offshore companies.

Just sold domain for 2550$ and they sent me 1780$ what in the hell of a godaddy scam is this

Common, you are using service without looking up what the pricing is? Here:

When you are buying something, anything, anywhere, do you look for the price first or just grab the thing blindly?
