What software is this guy using to SEO attack me?

A competitor has been SEO attacking me on and off for years. Luckly there has been enough time between attacks for me to disavow and get my traffic back. Since I'm much better at SEO than him, I always spring back and come back stronger than before. Recently he is pretty much SEO attacking me 24/7, and he is managing to keep me down.

I noticed from every attack, every bad backlink, the URL ends in "k.html". This has to be some bespoke software he is using. Does anybody know what software he is using to do this to me? Also, it looks like its its copying text and keywords from my site onto the bad backlinks its making.

This is not a competitor attack, the links that end with -k.html are automated spam links going to several istes on the web including mine. They haven't done shit to my site, and won't do anything to yours either, Google just ignores them.

I'm sorry my friend, but you are wrong on that. If you go to one of these websites which sell negative SEO as a service, these are the links they create. They may not have affected yours, but they have affected mine several times. My question is, does anyone know which software makes these k.html links

Think what you want, but this is automated spam and not a negative SEO attack. You are not the only person experiencing this.

This is automated spam links, you should filter your backlinks or replace them with new.

As everyone else said, these are automated spam links.
Or they can be hacked site links (webshell vulnerabilities). Some SEO services offer bulk backlinks from compromised sites (mostly Chinese and Korean sites) as part of negative SEO.

Fair enough, I don't disagree that these links may come in as automated spam. But I know for a fact that they are sometimes used as part as an SEO attack. Because I paid for an SEO attack on one of my own domains to learn more about it. And hundreds of these k.html link attacks came in. So I know for a fact that these links are used in an SEO attack too. The guy who is SEO attacking me has admitted to it, so I know for a fact the links coming into my site now, are from SEO attacks he has paid for. I never wanted a debabe about where the links came from. I'm wanting to know the name of the software these people are using to carry out these attacks.

Well those pages are certainly widespread enough for me to think it's more than one actor creating them, so I reckon it's some sort of doorway page creator software package. I'd say virtually every site I have has backlinks from pages like this though, and they have no negative effect that I can see, just part of the flotsam and jetsam of the web that any semi-successful website will attract.

Because I paid for an SEO attack on one of my own domains to learn more about it. And hundreds of these k.html link attacks came in.

@unbeaten They’re correct. I have 20-30 links like these, sometimes more. Generally speaking, Google ignores certain spam networks.

You can disavow if it would make you feel more comfortable. Disavowing sometimes takes up to a few months to take effect, though.

I can imagine 20-30 of these might not cause any effect. When I purchase the SEO attack, I didn't get any traffic report. They just let me know when the attack had started and that was it. I used Ahrefs and SEM Rush to view the links after. I don't know how many they sent but Ahrefs picked up 400 of them 2-3 weeks after the attack. "IN BULK", these links do negatively affect your SEO.

The guy who is attacking my money sites, I typically lose 70-80% of my traffic if I don't spot them coming in and disavow in time. He has been SEO attacking me for many years, so I have learned a lot about negative SEO, and disavow etc, I have had too to stay afloat.

From what I can gather just from being attacked so many times, they must create around 30% of your links. If you have 1,000 good backlinks, they would need to create around 300 to trash your SEO. So the more good backlinks you have they more they need to make.

Somebody somewhere knows more about this software, especially if it’s so widespread.

I don’t think this is the case here, but you can most likely do something like this with any backlink software that allows custom link lists. If one were so inclined.

The appearance of duplicate content on the Internet is bad enough. I use Matomo Analytics for these purposes, identify those who are too active and ban them by IP

I have the same problem!My site is new and no any traffic now!No any competitor.Last week I bought some backlinks from Pakistan supplier but today I found one spam link same as the URL ends in "k.html".I check this URL,it is a SEO site from Pakistan.Why????I am puzzled.

I also have many hundreds of links with this -k.html pointing to my site,
They don't seem to have a big effect.
99.9% are from 0 to 2 DA sites that are not in English (the language of my site)
SEMrush shows them as toxic as do many other site-checking tools.
I usually run a check and disavow once or twice every week and disavow the domains. seems to keep on top of them. but it's a pain to keep checking for them.

I have drop in positions last week from average 6th to 21+. My pages which were ranking in top 4 got 20+ also. Had no idea what is going on until I found on semrush like 50 “keyword-k-html” links pointing to my site.
Does it works? Well it does.

Any advice? Or at least give me a such a service provider. So those who f around to find out

I thought this forum is only for professionals. it was strange to read some of the comments above.

well, I will tell my story: from 2021 to 2023 I received exactly 1000 such spammy -k.html links. all of them were on hacked sites with content substitution for google-bot. that is, the real content (with an external link inside that was taken from an image on my site) should have been visible only to google-bot. but the point is that such spammy urls do NOT get into the index. I checked hundreds of cache versions and all of them gave 404 and most importantly these links did not get into the serch console! That is, yes, google ignores them, they do not give traffic, but someone is trying hard to continue spamming. And this is not zero sites, some of them are very trusted. But they live very short.

Now let's make it clear to everyone who posted in this thread that they received such spam:

1) did you check these links for the index?
2) did you see if they appear in your search console? If not, what is the point of disavow them?
3) the fact that you allegedly began to drop traffic after the appearance of such links - may be just a coincidence and the reason was actually in another.
