Keywords in subheadings

You can try but not more than twice if it’s the same keywords. Use long tails for best results in subheadings

Not a problem! Searchers intent is one of the top ranking factors nowadays. Meaning: does your content cover the keyword & answer any questions the searcher may have?

It’s fine to lace the content with the keyword & variations, but don’t overdo it.

It is best to use the keyword once in the subheadings. Use of long tail in keyword is much more useful, it's more and more important to ensure that your content is natural so that people read the content with interest and do not deviate from the target.

Well they must seem natural so google can rank your website. 1-2 uses of long tail keywords per arcticle should be optimal.
