Amazon Prime Dropshipping making bank? $$

Hi BHW lads/lasses,

Okay so i wanted to share my idea with you all and hopefully get some feedback or more ideas. I have been trying to monetise my IG/TT for awhile now with about 300k followers together and over 1m views daily (cartoon niche). I was planning to start droppshipping products related to my niche, but before building a new site and putting a lot of time and effort i wanted to be sure that it would actually work, so i signed up to amazon affiliates and started sending traffic to cartoon categories. I am getting about 1.5k link clicks a week and over 10 orders, so to sum it up i can definetly sell with my own site i believe instead of giving amazon all the profit.

Now here is my question, i have amazon prime which has free shipping to USA and also free returns, 70 percent of my audience is from the USA. Do you believe droppshipping products with good profit margins from amazon and delivering them with amazon prime is a good idea? or should i search for a better supplier?

First, dropshipping on amazon is way expensive. Second, Amazon may ban your prime account.

Price = Product Cost + Amazon Fulfillment Fee ($5+ depends on item size) + Amazon Referral Fee (~15% of sale price) + Seller's Profit + Ad Fee + Customer Returns Lost

Thus if you are able to find someone who can directly ship for you. You will save a lot.

btw, what products are you selling?

I'v shipped few products from china to us customers directly, which saved much than FBA products.

If you've a large social audience. Then instead of monetizing it with affiliate, I'd suggest that start your own dropshipping store (website and amazon store). This way, you'll not only get higher profits but also a chance to build your own brand.

Thank you bro! I have changed a lot and I think I am currently on the right path, I found the inventory that I will stick with, I found a good chinese supplier that can also source products for me and has good communication so that definetly helps! Thank you for your advice brother!

amazon has fees as they do the shipments for you, unless..

you can have the supplies at your house then deliverer them.

when sales are good, have them put into a warehouse.
