Where the heck is Sartre?

This ain't looking good, Sartre was full of knowledge and a good guy. Hopefully he's okay.

All I can comment on is the information at hand.

The information we have currently is:

- He had multiple sales threads open & no one, not even his customers have heard from him.
- It's been roughly 1 week (10ish days) or so since the "hack".

Two things to take away here.

1. Whatever is keeping him away is real because he hasn't reached out/tried to re-access his account.
2. If there is no issue (no exit scam & was just randomly, unluckily hacked) then why hasn't he reached out to support or created another account?

Guys,
I don't know what's going on with @Sartre
Trying to contact him for a few weeks now, and now I see that his BHW account has been compromised.
Do you guys have any idea what's up with him?
Don't get me wrong, I'm having a strong believe that this is an exit scam, even if all his accounts are compromised, he would have looked for a way to get in touch, except if something bad happened to him, but I don't think so, there's a 90% chance that this is an exit scam, his phone is off, e removed his address from his website, all these not a coincidence.

As a friend of him, do you really think that he got kidnapped, accounts overtaken and then killed?
no, did i ever say that?! maybe you should read the whole thread first. i never said i believe any of that, I SAID I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED! and what i keep saying is i dont think speculations rightnow will lead us anywhere.

Am sorry to see this. But I really wish he gets back.

I highly doubt someone would build reputation/goodwill over the years to throw away in a scam. My guess is worst case kidnapped or best case minor accident, stuck in a hospital or tax authorities/law enforcement.

This guy had very very early access to GPT4 even before the waitlist was announced. He is well connected and knows what he is doing. Highly unlikely for someone of this repute to pull a sloppy scam like this.

All should be well soon.

When someone wants to pull off a scam, they're not worried about their forum/internet rep. There was a mod here who scammed people almost a decade back. And this is a regular member we're talking about here.

a sloppy scam like this.
Although I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this doesn't turn out to be a scam but if it is, there's nothing sloppy about it. From the looks of things this would be a well planned scam that was months in the making if not years.

I don't know if many people noticed this but his original username on this forum was not Sartre. I don't remember his original username but it started with 'B' something like bruspz or something like that. He only changed it a year back or a couple of years back, mods can confirm. And then he suddenly became active after that posting ai stuff and his 'journeys'.

I don't think this is an exit scam. He's helped me on several occasions and even motivated me a lot. I mean a lot. I got started looking at one of his python tips thread.

I agree with the other guy that maybe he's stuck somewhere. Maybe had an accident or got stuck with the authorities at best. I think he had surgery too, maybe something related to that is happening idk. But I'm 99.99% sure that he didn't do an exit scam. And if he did, I'm losing all my faith here. I would never trust anyone online at least. IRL is different, but online hell no.

How did the buyers pay him? Had satre a real bankaccount or something like this as a business? Wouldn’t a scam be really hard with this setup?

I don't know about other customers, but I paid by bank transfer to account in the name of Lambda Investments via Wise.

It was brrupsz.

Based on a simple Google search, most of the results for that nickname comes from Polish results.
Unless this is a nickname used by a lot of people, that would add up with what was previously posted on one of his websites about him actually being Polish:

He also changed the Pic on his own website: https://whiletruecode.com/

Used to have a pic with a kid. Not sure if its his real pic btw: http://web.archive.org/web/20220626155157/https://whiletruecode.com/

It seems like quite a unique nickname though.

If we follow the trail of this nickname, we can also find the following:

Computer science student? Sounds like a background he could have, based on his skills.

The guy in the videos doesn't look like the guy in the photo from Sartre's websites though:

By following the name from this profile, you can find a lot of more information about a guy who's been a part of research papers on AI etc.: https://bartoszzielinski.github.io/, https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/author/37085359069

I read the entire post and to me it is obvious that the guy simply deleted his virtual machine that kept this fake internet personality and kept the money from the last few customers...his business was ruined by Chat Gpt and should be waning financially.

This real-life business stuff also verges on the absurd, a bunch of websites that look like they were created by a pakistani designer on Fiverr for $10 with fake addresses, some latin-written pages not even edited on WordPress, old photos being conveniently deleted in advance of disappearing. His profile is not accessible, but it is noted that it was created in 2010, I would love to know the activity of this profile, how many years it was inactive and was conveniently reactivated.

And some still mention a supposed kidnapping, arrest or absurd theories...

kidnapped people do not send messages on BHW asking to buy private AI bots on Telegram

people who are in captivity will not delete their personal pictures before being kidnapped and replace them with pictures of a philosopher

kidnappers and scammers in general do not even have enough IQ to impersonate him on the internet, if he found a smart kidnapper, then

why disappear and not continue selling services for thousands of dollars and enrich the kidnappers even more?

It doesn't make any sense...anyway, that's the way of the world, people are not bad or good, he must have helped a lot of people on the forum, but nobody is 100% good or bad

I'm curious about all this and interested to see how many people will come forward in the coming weeks opening reports and asking for a refund.

100% Exit scam.

You have to be really stupid if you think you can use automated content at scale and have that last. Nothing new, we have had spam spun/translated garbage for ages. It works, but ONLY with human intervention. There is no 'push button generate content' solution. All AI spam sites are going to die, it's only a matter of time.

The guy sold a dream, and when it didn't work (like it was not supposed to) he took off.

When making investments, it's best to exercise common sense. Did you really think Google would let automated spam rank long-term? It's only a matter of time before the algorithm catches on.

You are not getting your money back.

After having seen a lot of unexpected things over years on this forum.
Let us hope for the best and expect everything to return to normal without anything negative.

Am aware of that(buddy the mod) and heard more through the grapevine recently.

However what am saying is this guy already makes 20-50k a month conservative, had early access to GPT4 even before waitlist.

Highly unlikely to pull off a scam for 50-100k

One has to be an idiot to flush all the goodwill in drain. 12 years of goodwill is passive income for lifetime on the forum for him. Why would he cut the golden egg laying goose.

I don't also deny the fact, there could be circumstances, lifestyle choice(snow/brown, and all the expenses/baggage/acquaintance that comes with this lifestyle)

But I would highly prefer the former than the latter.

I don't want to speculate too much. I know nothing other than what's there on the surface level

Unless you're his accountant/CPA, you don't know that. A quick look at his history on this forum does not give comfort about him being what he claimed to be.
Until 2018-19 he was talking about IG automation.
He was requesting for income school's theme for free here in 2020 : https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/req-acabado-theme-by-income-school-needed.1194283/post-12834025
In 2020-21 he was talking about OF marketing.
Then in 2021 he changed his username and then began the AI journeys, pitching himself as the guru of Ai.

I still hope for him to come back and clear things up as people losing money to scammers is never a pretty sight.

I already said I was taking a wild guess from what I know on the surface level. Having networked with people and personally doing something in this niche for 8 months, I know it's a conservative number based on the scale he is doing it.

We are both speculating based on what we see at the surface level

Let's just just look for a positive outcome. :)

Seems like there might be enough leads to the real @Sartre for anybody that paid and did not receive.
Wire transfers, polish leads, domain registrations and hosting accounts and even the OpenAI access. Yes, all that can be faked, but the police has quite a lot more access to information.
Now all you have to do is go to the police and file a report. It might be hard or impossible with all those international relations, but you might get lucky.

And don't forget the 2000 OpenAI API keys he gave out. Which even if he bought here would still cost $2K. I got some and they all worked fine.

The truth is that I know the URL of the biggest website of Sartre on Mediavine, the one he used to post screenshots from here on BHW (those $20K/month screenshots, that originally got him all the attention). This AI website has taken a very serious beating in latest Google updates... *
