Do you love making new websites?

I certainly hate it. That's why I was able to build a Shopify store within only 2 days, and it was aesthetically pleasing back then for $100, but the guy got what he paid for.

I can properly build websites, but because I hate it, I get it done fast. Recently, I made another website for a friend which I thought would take a week, but because I wanted to play games, I finished in only 1 day.

I like 1 page websites with the anchored links going to the same page, instead of those encyclopedia websites--I rather jump off a cliff.

Are you talking Wordpress websites here or custom made? Most people could get a decent Wordpress up in a few hours.

Creating new sites for those of us that market in IM is a necessary evil.

Nobody likes it but the returns make up for the pain.

It depends, the sites I make are usually not single pages to generate IM sales.

Overall, it's cool but for now it's not making any money, so it's not very motivating.

How do people make those themes that are sold on codecanyon?

I looked at Elementor but I have no idea how to export the project and make it beautiful and responsive with custom css.

I do enjoy it, however it can get tedious. Also a distraction from actually making sales - I fall guilty of trying to make the logo perfect or site perfect rather than getting some kind of MVP out there.

My websites aren't websites by the normal definition. More of a Web Applications. Developing websites is the part I enjoy the most. I think about business ideas, and build websites around them. They achieve magnificent success and its time to scale it. Which mean repeating what I have done. This is when I lose interest and move on to the next challenge.

If I had the discipline to actually scale my small websites, I would have been in the Forbs list by now.

THIS. Sometimes I do enjoy it, but sometimes I catch myself wasting too much time on the small details that don't REALLY matter.

I can do all the above, with skills in each area. I started doing web development before Shopify was popular, like using DreamWeaver starting from scratch. Wordpress simplifies everything.

I know what you mean. The terribly worst examples came from the influx of Shopify dropshippers. For me I did it all from logo design, coding, graphics/editing, copyrighting, and CSS (+ apps). With those Wordpress templates, it can sometimes get annoying reverse engineering those codes, and overridden codes, but it pays off in the end.

I know. With experience on a few, you get faster. Once you get faster, you can just go without thinking about pretty distractions. That's what I did. Logo really does set the tone.

What paid off most for me was knowing CSS and graphic techniques (some basic HTML). Copyrighting is just natural for me.

I have learned python, but those coding things are like expecting a sea across the mountain, but there could be more mountains. I might be interested in coding to get into stocks, but then it might not be my cup of tea.

i tried my luck selling websites 10y ago. im glad some people are charging 10k+ for WP sites. all i could find were shoe string budget customers who were a mess to deal with.
