Mini progress:
Site #1 current article count
Changed site structure so that closer topics would interlink with better-related topics. I think it is an improvement, and if topic clusters and content silo theory is right or has big effects then id expect to see benefits
I am tracking some select old articles in different silos (old as they have passed their prime rankings and I havent updated them).
I will see if the site structure in any way affects their ranking (I wont track new articles in the silos as they will obviously rise in rank regardless of the changes).
10 winner posts updated, images added, youtube vids added etc.
This website traditionally has awful summers, I am going to change direction on what I'm publishing and try to publish summer trending content now ahead of time because it would at least get some time for me to rank and optimize.

As most people ignore non-English, I have reasonable success with this before but we will see how it goes on this website.
The website has so much posts it is having a little trouble with the amount of translation but that is to be expected
hopefully, It is not major problem in long run but the potential upside for me is worth it, I'm not depending on this website
for my livelihood.
Site 2 getting a trickle of impressions but still largely gone from google.

Thanks for the follow and likes! I hope this gives you something interesting to check back on.
I use something in house so it isn't something I can share code for but if you have someone that can work with translation APIs tell them you want your pages translated automatically, you want to have (sub domain or language folder, your choice, one shares domain authority one doesn't)
Tell them you want it to send back to Google that each page is a translation of the same page and not duplicate content. Have URLs translated, and have pages automatically choose a language based on users browser settings. Basically, it is ideal to have them all index as the target languages. Also, ocr and translation for words in images and sales funnels.
If you don't have enough money to pay someone for this help then according to me googling, DeepL and Gtranslate sound like they can do many of these things for Wordpress sites. So I would do a little research into things like that.
Sorry if this isn't a good enough answer but I try to point you in the right direction at least but keep in mind personal budgets and how much the translations are worth to your business. If you are only writing on USA topics or doing local work in USA then this might be more of a hassle that it is worth.
I do think many informational sites can benefit from things like this at least a little since some languages barely have content for many niches.
Native speakers are not often in love with plain Google Translate sites but if it is the only option for their serp then you will get clicks. My partner has a site that is killing it in foreign languages, if you are active on SEO Reddit you might have seen it talked about by him as he has posted about it before.
I am not gonna link it or reveal any names but im sure some of the people here could figure it out.

Just a reminder to people, make sure you are safe from the Elementor pro issue.
Also, please don't forget to back up your websites.
I literally backed mine up yesterday, and something went so horribly wrong today and the site was completely inaccessible.
Without that single backup I made yesterday because I had an odd feeling telling me to, id have had a worse day than I already did.
Do not fully trust your host to always be backing you up as often as you need it. Today was on track to be a record-breaking tuesday
for site one but then the site went down with the issue I mentioned so it is unlikely to have the expected revenue
Monday was the first 50 $ day on site 1
This doesnt mean every day will be a 51 going forward but it is a common low goal people have (make 50$ a day from website)
So I feel like it is worth mentioning as another little milestone to keep me and you all motivated in the Journey.
if all days enter the 50s then ill be around 30% complete with the journey from site 1 alone.
Although site 1 is due for a massive seasonality drop in about a month so it is unlikely this journey will end that quick unless the site explodes in a way I didnt plan.
I did no work on site 2, I was too busy today.
I know many people dont like google analytics but this specific report I love to look at because it smooths out the growth and you can see more clearly how
fast a website is growing even if it has ups and downs or a single bad week.
Red Line is when AI articles started being added.
We had a bad dip because of the google core update but over all we ended up still growing over all in the 30 days trailing
I wish I could turn the growth into a straight line upwards.
However it is already good right now, if I can maintain the current slop then id hit the website goals in no time (easier said than excuted)
Every single day their is a constant stream of Articles hitting their number 1 spot (low competition ) and it is hard for me to keep up updating
them all as fast as they reach # 1 for their target keyword
I just found this one interesting as I did track its positions so im sharing it.
Now it is at # 1 even if it gets just 40 a day, that is 1200 PVs to earn from. It already had decent CTR because the top spots were useless and not even following search intent, but it is funny that even though it is
like that many people still won't click you if you aren't number 1.
This is an example of a low-competition one that hit the number 1 spot the same day it was published.
Earned 9 $ in that time.
Sure it isnt crazy life changing money but A lot of publishing is a numbers game. If it can make 9$ for 12 months then the article earned me 108$ even though it took 1 cent to produce
and probably not more than 2$ for me to update it into its current human-edited form.
This is why I say the ROI on AI articles is stupidly good right now.
If I can just get 500 of the thousands of articles to bring in 10$ a month, then I reach the Journey goal.
Or to be more specific, 395 since I'm already at 1056$ a month.

To answer your question and hopefully a little more than you even asked:
Posts are re written with slight aid of AI, even most people you pay for content these days are secretly using a little AI to speed up the process.
I (or whoever im having do the work) will story board the post, you can ask AI for subheading options but it will likely give you basic stuff that everyone else already has.
Generally you already know what subheadings everyone else has on the serp and your goal is to beat them, not just to write a nice article.
Ideally you will want to cover everything everyone else has covered on the first page plus a little more.
Having an article titled "20 gifts for fathers who dont like sports" will get you a higher ctr than (10) because people think they are more likely to find something they want
(especially if they dont really know what they want yet)
So after gathering ALL the most relevant LSI, NLP keywords and competitor headings you can go ahead and start the basic order you want your topics.
If you want stats you can pull them from wikipedia or whatever giant website has them, and usually even if you need to link back to cite the source those websites are so big you are
practically never in competition with them.
Long story short though, when I say rewrite I basically mean a full on page SEO job with the goal to never need to update that article again (this is not realistic but ideally, the longer
you can leave an article and it earns you money, the better, needing to baby sit pages and their ranks eats into ROI, and if you price your time, for every hour you spend dealing with
stuff you could have avoided, you are losing at the bare minimum 7.25$ in the USA (minimum wage) however im sure most of us value our time more than that, soo
wasting an hour is like wasing 50$ if not more.
GPT sucks at giving statistics, but if you tell it the write statistics then it will write the whole sentences for you.
TLDR:
We use AI to aid the Rewrites but not for subheadings or other general on page SEO.

Something interesting I think some people might want to see, I searched my AI site on Semrush to see what it looks like from the outside lol.
I cut it and not showing the full thing just so it is less identifiable (even though its possible someone might find it from this alone but please dont interfere with the journey.
Goes to show how wong the stats are for traffic on these tools. it is off on my traffic by thousands.

I started a website in the last week of January this year on an expired domain with some backlinks. I published about 200 AI articles in about 2 weeks to test if those rank. I was getting a few impressions. Some articles were ranking in the top 1-3 pages of the SERP. Later this happened.
The articles are not of top quality but I would say of good quality with featured image, video, multiple subheadings on it. Not a typical PAA type site. I also did interlinking manually. Now Google has started deindexing the articles.

I had absolutely the same when I decided to run a test on an expired domain.
First... impressions and clicks then nothing and eventually only like 10 impressions.
@Jaordas , have you had any problems with AI content? Still ranking as before? (I'm talking about your site from the other thread).

I'm doing something similar but I do edit all my AI articles. Bing won't index my website at all and they've manually reviewed it. Google on the other hand has indexed it and approved AdSense on it. I'm not ranking for any keywords yet though. 36 articles so far ranging from 2000 - 5000 words, 2 months into it on a fresh domain name.

I category keywords before I even search them. I only build one category at a time
life if im doing a category on Addictions then id make hundreds of posts covering that topic so it is marked "comeplete in my head"
in the long run dome posts could go across categories but it is as simple as putting it in 2 categories.
(make a new category about gambling, then add all gambling addiction posts to that category aswell so related post plugins would link across these related subjects)
still no end goal on how much to create. first blog 3-4 years (forgot the exact number but I said it somewhere on page 1 of this journey)

Bro, imma be honest with you, everyone and their mother wants to know what to do about this right now, ive seen over 50 different posts on this same exact thing
my site number 2 also ended up like this:
At first I thought links would save it but I suggest you watch this gentlemans video on his site that got this and look at this backlink profile
from the looks of it even backlinks nor brand searches are saving it, and im sure most people arent even willing to put in as much reasources as this guy.
My website requires EEAT, and I thought it crashed because of that, but even legitimate people who start using AI on new or in some cases expired domains
are having this problem.
We all want to figure this out so if anything please mention your own thoughts on what you did right before the crash so people can have an idea.
right before my crash I bulk uploaded content, I dont link build on the site so it leaves me to believe it is the mass publishing that killed it, as even people who did link build
or on expired domains are having this.
If google really doesnt care about the backlinks then it is likely the reason my site 1 isnt hit is because of it being a lititle aged and it was constantly up and running for the past 3-4 years legitimate.
Btw did you stop publishing new posts when the impressions crashed?
The site from my other trend is called site 1 on this trend, it has no problems
however my newest site has had this issue, read the response above.
No real idea how to deal with it yet, at first I thought leaving it would be best but now im seeing people post they are getting slow de indexed so it makes me feel like the
impression dead is just the start.
So far new posts are still being indexed but they wont show.
