ChatGPT 4 - Last few days it's been getting weaker

Last few days I see difference in it.

It was way more powerful and gave better responses.

It used to read way back older messages and understand information from them.

Now it don't remember so well.

Makes more errors in various tasks.

With me it quits a lot with an error before finishing a tekst. So mostly now I still use 3.5.

they constantly have errors, you just have to give it time. their systems are unstable since months. one day it works great, other days its slow or doesnt work at all for hours even with paid accounts.
i hope they finally get their infrastructure a bit more stable...

millions of funding... social networks also have millions of users.
sure i understand that nothing is perfect, but their service is really unstable and there are hadrware solutions to scale to workout these problems.
its not like its the 90s. thats why they run on AWS as it easily scales if there is a higher demand, but there are also lots of server errors happening with the API and even things like CORS misconfiguration on their frotend...

In the end, if you think that this is poorly built given the resources they have, you really have to spend more time in the startup world because this is average and not surprising at all.

i know all of that, but with their backing its not the usual nonsense startup that you might have encountered. when you are backed by M$ they should have the resources and knowledge to make it more stable. i'm not saying it should be error free, nothing is.. but in its current state and the problems that are known for many months, it could be handled better by now. they can see what the problems are and what needs to be scaled for example.

yeah...

i spent like 10k this week on traffic for my adult content business and that cost even more money to run if you do paid ads .

Ik someone that spends 2-3k a day on one model for ppc ads.

also for somthing like ai prob about 100-150k though. highly doubt most of the workers are from usa/uk so more like 50-75k .

You need to be polite but firm with it, You need to work on your prompts, Now and then remind it you are Human and need help in teaching it new tasks,
Seriously, I found myself arguing with it over a point of grammar. It was refusing to do my task because it was grammatical in correct,

I am not sure if i am going crazyor not, But i actually get better results,
Now i want to teach it to remember me and understand me better,

Looks like they scaled back the context window from 32,000 tokens to 8,000 tokens.

Makes sense for them. Running the smaller context window version of the gpt-4 api is less expensive. Maybe they did not anticipate so many people will upgrade to plus.

Wow I thought I was crazy, I agree, it's gotten worse. The articles it pumps out now is garbage and there's limitations put on it which you can still circumvent but it's annoying how they keep cutting it's balls off
