Notes to myself:
I am not happy with the current RPM of the site (not to be confused with epmv).
At the current rate I would need to increase RPM by 20% in order to hit 5000$ with 500000 Page views.
I know other sites will be in this equation but as of right now the goal rpm for each must be at least
10$ per 1k pageviews.
What am I going to do going forward?
Continue to update winners into 2500+ word blog posts. While most people dont read a ton, increased page lenght increases ammount of ads served and time on page for a fraction of the users. This all allow for more chances to place internal link aswell (relate post plugin, not by hand).
Make updated pages more optimized for lower bounce rate (AI doesnt often talk in an attention-grabbing way). While it is impossible to update all articles on the site for me currently. The top 100 pages of any site will still control a large part of the traffic so decreasing the bounce rate and optimizing the best pages should help with earnings.
Add affiliate products to all top pages, (or at least where it makes sense). Many AI pages can have related Affliate links added to the informational content. Now I think it is even easier to get product ideas as you can literally ask chat gpt for possible products you can sell on a page. You need to ask better questions to get better answers but often times it can come up with things I didnt even think about.
I notice that a certian high-earning ad position on my website has been bugged since a design change I made mid last month, and I will stop putting off my time to fix it sometime this month. I estimate it would only give around a 5% rev increase but that is very good (I ignored it because it wasnt a quick fix and I had better things to do with my time).
Publish more content, for this general site im not going to particularly target higher rpm terms to boost the site but I will continue to target some underserved sub niches as it is providing quick growth. (rev last month was 390$ so keep in mind revenue has grown by 157% or something like that, im not gonna go do the exact math). I am currently targeting things I am decently sure the AI can write decent content for. I didnt do this in the start but going forward im trying to minimize chances I publish articles where the AI is so off that it reads like spam. I dont currently have a number in mind for post-published goal, I dont think the number itself is that important to me if I am not fairly sure it is things the AI can get me traffic for.
These chance can potentially increase pageviews per visitor more than they increase earnings from specific page views so keep in mind the RPM itself might drop lowering even if the website is earning more. This is part of why EPMV is technically more relevant but most people use rpm to measure success even though it is not be best metric so I feel the need to mention it.
Improve EEAT of the site. Currently on this site I never really had worked on it as good at my main sites so being 100% honest the EEAT is mid. I will add more writers etc to the about us pages and start specifically delegating some of my people to work on specific parts of the website for at least 1 hours a week. This is something you can do yourself if you don't have a team, it is just im lazy to go editing and fact checking when I can have people im already paying do it. Chances are this project might get the google slap and I wasted a little money but if google seriously is gonna ignore AI then this can potentially earn me back the money easy. I have seen PAA garbage rank for 2 years before getting their slaps so hopefully, I get a good bit of time.
I also want to redesign the site now it has become much more general, thankfully I never choose limiting domain names so all im gonna do is get it to look more like a general / news site or something.
Site 2 impressions just dropped to 0 even though it is indexed. I am not really worried new website things. I can still force it to appear with 301 redirects (tested and working) but I don't see the point in me doing that right now on a large scale, ill just let some time past and keep adding content.
Thanks, no about the course, the ones I used when I got into this in my opinion are outdated now. I also believe you can practically learn most the basic stuff many will teach you purely from youtube.
I will try, thanks for the encouragement
