Did the SEO update affect you?

Not significantly but there is one change I have noticed. My bounce rate has decreased by 10%. I don't know why.

A strange thing I have noticed to my sites, is they have 2-3x more impressions volume while clicks stays the same...
This means some keywords where ranked higher in searches but still no clicks are made.
This on Google console stats.

Bounce rate increased here as well for three of my sites. I'm not sure if it's because Google is sending bogus traffic from VPNs and whatnot (as one webmaster saw on their site) or because a core update is in progress and it will sort itself out - all I know is that for now, bounce rate and user engagement time is dropping.

It fucking effects my Indexing service...

One site that's been hit back in November seems to go further down since the last 2 days. Two other smaller and much younger domains are seemingly untouched (for now). Who knows what's gonna happen over the next ~2 weeks though.

Just a little improvement for my blog (Ai Content) :D IDK how

Weirdly just today the rank increased, but i got tanked for a couple of days!

Same here. Got hit for one day, then it increased. Though my impressions in GSC dropped by about 17% for the last 3 days on one of my sites, and now seem to be slowly increasing.

Yes obviously, I got mixed improvements, Can't say but will know in the coming days.

Yup Exactly affected Google Update & AI

We should wait a bit, i think it will pick itself up!

I have seen many threads on BHW that they have been hit with the latest Google updates. Their ranks are downgraded, and traffic is falling.

The current update didn't affect me much, but what did was LAST YEAR'S UPDATE.

I believe it was the May update.

The good news is after a few months, I was able to bounce out of whatever penalty box they set up.

I think it was algorithmic penalty and the way I did it was through SIMPLE SMART LINKING.

It's actually very basic.

YOU HAVE TO KEEP ON PRODUCING CONTENT.

That's one.

Second, YOU HAVE TO INTERLINK IN A SMART WAY.

My philosophy is that whatever page that I'm interlinking to on my site must be benefited by the content of the page I'm linking from.

It's all about passing value.

Step into the shoes of the person that will be reading your stuff.

They're not clicking because they have nothing else better to do.

They want value.

So deliver that value through this linking strategy.

Another practice that helped me get over the penalty, or downgrade, if you will, was better content.

I know you probably hear that a lot, but better content means not automated content, not cheap content, not easy content.

I'm talking about content that actually delivers on the search intent of the keywords I'm targeting.

That's the bottom line.

Not that much but rankings are not stable on one of my sites. And one website which got affected in the December update has seen improvement in this update.
