I used to run maximise clicks.
Sales plummet and I started to try maximise conversion.
Values below are for one day, comparing the same day of the week.
Background: Ecommece website selling home appliances. 10 years old.
Maximise clicks
Clicks 29
Impression 330
CTR 8.79%
Total cost $7.41
Maximise conversion
Clicks 5
Impression 9
CTR 55%
Total cost $0.19
Both days saw no improvement in sales.
Maximise conversion was only tried since 3 days ago. I only managed to set up the conversion tag today. Not sure if getting it tagged would pull up anything. It says it would +12 percent in optimization. It is a PITA to get that set up and I still not sure if it's correct. So should I let it wait and try out longer?
My other big concern is my SERP for my organic traffic tanked. Leading to lower organic traffic too. Is it influenced by the tanking of lower impression from my drop of Google ads or due to recent Google algorithm updates?
What would you do? Revert to max clicks or max conversion?
