Standard Socks5 does support UDP since its beginning -- RFC1928 , March 1996.

it supports?- yes
it is implemented on majority proxy selling services?- no and rarely ever
whether we will see UDP implementation on commercial proxies? very likely soon

- Socks5 clients that don't support it and don't plan adding support of it.

Every other socks5 client that routes sock5 via TUN/TAP(VPN) mode support UDP
Only proxy routing clients on system level like Proxifier dont support it

Hi, there is a concern about raising usage of QUIC protocol (HTTP 3.0) with combination of using a proxy in browser. QUIC is UDP. All modern browsers do support QUIC. Yet none of them support sending QUIC via a proxy. Even if the proxy itself can send UDP (most Socks5 proxies can't but some can!).

And when a website finds out you have a modern browser and can't send QUIC, it's a big red flag to consider you are a bot!

3rd party solutions like Proxifier don't support sending QUIC either.

Possible solutions:

- wait till browsers can send QUIC via a proxy + proxy providers start adding UDP to their proxies
- wait till tools like Proxifier can forward browser's UDP traffic via SOCKS5
- switch to 4G\5G VPN which are way more expensive.

what do you mean? Imagine most of them support Socks5/UDP now. But browser's can't send HTTP3 via any proxy now. So eventhough proxy providers adapted, it is useless.

@Bers666 As far as I understand, his reply is completely correct, if you are a proxy provider, http 3 QUIC protocol is a function that should be researched and supported soon. but if you are a proxies user for project or business, then you can consider quic protocol as 1 risk. Proxy will not die and Proxy need to be upgraded to adapt Platform.

Client software can adapt too. e.g. as of how stealth browsers take care of your WebRTC leaks.

You're already complaining before even testing the proxy, with that being said.. you can search for the website. Not even sure why you would complain about such, when 911 proxy was using similar.

Man chill.... it's not a bad thing that i ask a question about something i've never used before, I had issues with other proxy providers that's why i said i hope it's not botnet proxy
