Same thing exists in youtube (referrer), although it is harder to access, new youtubers are known to be always checking their analytics.

Your domain (with redirect to your offer) will appear in the Google Analytics stats of those websites.
The bot will set the referrer (traffic source) with your domain.

Get a domain, make it redirect to the affiliate link, then use that domain as the referrer.
When a site owner sees that referrer in their analytics they visit it out of curiosity. For wordpress the CTR is about 10%, but for other types of sites its different. For example google analytics doesn't show the sources at a very accessible place, so the CTR would naturally be lower.
You can test this yourself by creating a quick wordpress site and send the bot their with any referrer, and it would show up right at the top of the stats page.

I made it in HTML, so it is local, but you basically have to buy a subscription with the API i listed, it is cheap honestly.

keep in mind, if you are going to use my script, there is a small glitch, where it doesnt take URLs with http(s)://, to fix this issue you could remove the "https://" string in the fetch function.
I will fix it in a minute and send a version that accepts http(s) in URLs

It requires no coding experience at all, it is an HTML script, just double click the file, your browser will open with simple UI, input the affiliate redirecting domain in the referrer and choose a txt file

I wonder it is working in 2023. Lots of referrer bot spam will be easy to notice in Google Analytic based on bounce rate, duration, etc. If the owner saw that, I doubt them to click back to our domain.

Its surprising that so much traffic comes from webmasters checking the referrals report. I check the report time to time but rarely visit them. And its crazier that people are buying after going to the affiliate link.
