Will new content rank after being hit by Google update?

Got hit today by Google update, all ranking and traffic gone, not even a single traffic today.
My question is, if I write new content, good low KD, will it rank or I should just abandon the domain.

It all depends on the target of the update. If the update was meant to devalue links to the domain and the domain itself, then it would be difficult for a new post to rank afterall the entire site is now weak.

If it's content specific, like the update prioritizing specific style of content, new content that are written with changes brought my the update in mind, would have a chance to rank.


If your site was/is penalized, you need to fix the penalty first else, nothing positive for both old and new content.

Do not abandon the site. Look for reasons why it for affected and then work on resolving issues.

That doesn't look legit.

First thing, check with the factor why Google drop all your ranking may be cause of irrelevant content or irrelevant back links or check with keyword optimization only then you can decide the factor to update more content.

I automated the blog and abandoned it, post are getting indexed but no where to be found when searched.

I just checked the site on Google and nothing was found, everything got removed, maybe because I stoped automating and uninstalled WordPress and hosting IDK is been months

Operate your websites as if it's a real business. Would you close your brick and mortar store if it were penalized by Google? It's the same with Google, if you abandon your project because google decided to cut back on traffic, it's not a real business you believe in, you're another spammer they don't want. I believe there are a lot of randomness involved in their algorithm to weed out to rank&bank websites. Keep posting and working on it as usual and it'll eventually come back.

Nothing happened because I'm not getting traffic at all, just some few content, I'm loosing interest In SEO
