Microsoft Announces GPT AI Powered Bing

This is google response to chatgpt, google already had an AI they just never mentioned it because there was no need of it, we might be able to see a better AI with a solid base to the future than chatgpt, seems google is being working on this for a while is just they never expected to release it soon, while chatgpt is still testing and learning, we might see more in the future as long as google get pushed to improve more and not get behind of his competitors.
I heard that Google was taking extra precautions with it's language model, Lambda, because it was producing racist or inaccurate content, as it was trained on a biased dataset. Bard should be available in the coming weeks so we'll find out soon.

Fascinating to watch this play out, there has not been a revolutionary change to search since Google toppled Altavista.

It's about time.

But, to address the elephant in the room: If people don't need to find and read blogs, there's less incentive for the bloggers and content creators. They won't make blogs any more. But the AI trains itself by reading blogs. So I do hope that the search engine giants have mechanism in mind to allow content influencers a voice. Or else their data model will forever be "cut off at 2021".

I've never seen technology develop this quickly in my life. This week has been the craziest yet, and Google’s youtube presentation is still tomorrow. It’s like everyone in the content creation club, from artists to writers to bloggers, to literally everyone, are on a wild tech train without any brakes. Let's hope some of us are still standing after the train stops.

I think so. Google has been developing AI secretly but it didn't know the time to release it to the general public will come soon. Now, let's see how good this AI is compared to the Chat GPT and the one that Bing is going to implement in their search engine. It will also be interesting to see how well Google implements its AI in the search engine and how useful it will be for people.

With all these things, one more question arises here, will blogging be affected by this? Will the tradition of searching for what you want and then clicking on the link from the SERP change? Or it will remain there as it has been for years and we may see new addons, perhaps?

Only time will tell.

Search has been the same for 20 years. If things do change, it's long overdue. But there's definitely going to be some growing pains.

I agree. But Google should definitely be worried about this. And should take the next step with proper planning and caution. It should also come up with whatever AI tech they are developing all these years in a good shape and at least equally good as Chat GPT.

After today's Bard demo, Google is definitely experiencing some growing pains.
