Too much scammers on BHW .Beware!!!

I buy from 3 people 2 VIPs and one newbie.

Why would you buy from a newbie?

Most of the scams happen in the WTB or HAF sections. Why?
- Premium membership is cheaper than Jr. VIP
- No need to pay a fee for a sales thread
- No product/service vetting
- No effort or copywriting required. Just spam your telegram, turn on notifications, tell the victim what he wants to hear, and don't deliver anything.

So don't post there. Lazy people get scammed. Too lazy to scroll through marketplace. Too lazy to scroll through the scammers junk post history. Etc.

...this is NOT a status I would trust.

this is bullshit. just because some people are scammers doesn't mean crypto is a bad form of payment. i think it means more to do your research on who you are buying from. and newsflash, there's always been scammers here, that's the whole reason for the dispute resolution section. i think you just made unwise deals and wanna blame somebody for it other than the bad actors who scammed you.

Exactly. If you aren't comfortable paying a seller in crypto, don't buy from them at all. But even if you feel secure, opt to use a reversible payment method. You shouldn't be buying something for 10 cents on the dollar from a member who joined yesterday just because you're using PayPal.

So...the buyer can't be scammed, but the seller can? Using Paypal is riskier for the seller than Crypto is for the buyer. I can bet all you want that you're a lot more likely to suffer a fraudulent chargeback or get banned from Paypal than to be scammed by a seller.

In fact, i wish every single seller one day uses crypto and you have absolutely no option other than use it too, because sellers have essentially no protections, while you do...plenty.

Just be a little more careful.

I never takes thing outside the forum, I also cleary write on my posts on HAF or WTB that I don't use Skype etc. When people contacts me on PM and want to talk with me on skype, I just don't answer them anymore. Am I a douche for doing that?

Sorry to hear. I have gotten scammed a few times too. But however that's only less than 1% of the people here. Majority are good

Crypto, PayPal or wire. If they want to scam you they scam you.

Just ensure the seller is active on the forum with a decent engagement over time.

I have also been scammed twice. The lesson is never to pay with crypto.

p.s. I get a sense that over the last year or so, the new VIP created users (1-2 year old accounts) are part of team who have made it their goal to scam BHW users and turn this group into a shithole.

I think the best way to stay away from any scams is to actually use escrow. There is this @Zenland with their BST allowing people to create escrow contacts easily. I used it only once, I but I know it works.

You should use either an escrow of this sort or have a second opinion of the person's dealings.

Under each BST, there are people who used it, you should write to them here, and ask how was their experience, if they vouch, it might mean they are less likely to scam.

Also, a good due diligence goes a long way when buying anything online.

When I deal on BHW, I only want deal on the forum, I don't like to take it outside BHW, so BHW stuff I keep on BHW dot com. That is what I mean

right? the whole idea of Jr. VIP is that these people have established themselves a bit and have at least a few bucks. most scammers are usually desperate, otherwise they wouldn't scam.

i also have to say that buying bank accounts seems like the shadiest of the shady. you gotta have money to burn to test out all the offers until you find a good seller.

I just accepted it and stopped dealing with members below 1000 posts and members without any kind of reputation. Just like other IM Forums, BHW is also a scam city but what can we do. Scammers will be scammers, nothing we can do about it.
