So i'm all set to start proper freelancing.
I do understnad HTML and CSS mostly, learning JS in my spare time to be Smort. Rn still going to use Elementor for 15-20 clients because it gives me that initial boost of confidence (lotta info online, wild functionality, templates). Then will probably learn Bricks/Breakdance to keep the code clean and to customize it properly with custom CSS.
However, i need two things resovled before I can start reaching out to clients properly.
1. Payment Gateway (My services are subscription based, with lump sum payments here and there) . The issue is, I'm in Azerbaijan, without a VISA, whilst also being a Russian resident and have a Solo Enterpreneur business entity there. Most of the payment gateway companies don't allow Russians to open an account, but i need to have permanent residence somewhere else to apply. Would appreciate if you'd tell me any lenient company that isn't so stubborn about client whereabouts. Rn i plan to just recieve the monthly payments throught my buddy's paypal invoices. He'll send me the funds through crypto and that's it.
2. Contract???
So i have a contract i would use with potential clients but: If something would going wrong, which court should i use for resolving issues? Since my clients are from USA.
On one hand, choosing a spot in the USA will have more weight to the clients, thus enhanced client accountability. However I'm basically helpless is they decide to go to court. I don't have the money, i don't live there etc.
Choosing a spot in Russia, which they won't really care about, but which will seemingly save me some trouble if things go sideways.
Gosh i wish i could just use fiverr-like solution with subscriptions but i don't know if such thing exists.
However runs a freelance business from not tier 1 country, please lmk if you have any advice. I desperately need it lol.
