[Journey] Using Linkedin Ads to Make 100k/month

I suppose he wants to sell big companies Google ads and / or seo services with a high monthly fee. Correct?

Please say the niche, it will make the thread more purposeful.

You don't have to be exact, there's no issue in saying it aproximately like: SEO, insurance, construction, debt, etc

Questions
3k revenue per customer is great. What exact services they purchase ? Is it recurring payment for these ?

So you're making 100k+ with affiliate links using LinkedIn ads?

Or are you directly selling a product?

Jezus Christ this dud cant even explain in 2 sentences what his business is about.

This seems to be a recurring question. So let me answer it:

  • How I achieve high revenue per customer is derived from a simple formula:

    PRICE_FOR_PRODUCT * 10 = VALUE_GENERATED
    ....

    VALUE_GENERATED / 10 = PRICE_FOR_PRODUCT

  • This means that to sell something for 20k; I must generate a minimum of 200k in value for the customer. To sell something for $100, I must generate a minimum of $1000 value for the customer. To sell something for 100k, I must generate a minimum of 1M in value to the customer.

  • Therefore, what I sell and the niche doesn't matter. Because the strategy shared in this thread is independent of the niche and product. This means that it will work for everything.

  • So much so that EVEN I do not know the current offer I plan to sell.

  • I have a general idea of what I want to sell, but I will flow with the market and let it pull me in the right direction.

  • If you cannot accept this answer, please unsubscribe and stop reading the thread.

PS: But...If you insist... I am selling gold embroidered diapers to fortune 1000 executives. It is a very lucrative niche that very few know of.

Good luck with your journey.

I do something similar on Linkedin, but not for $100K per client or with paid ads.

I start with outreach on a small value first driven approach, then upsell to $xx,xxx.

I can do that because one of my core skills is turning interruption marketing outreach into permission marketing leads.

Will be interesting to follow what you do with paid ads instead.

Always been interested in LI, & ads could be great to learn about but... this isn't clear.

Quite confusing, actually.

Do you sell leads at the end?

Bold plan op.
Will follow to learn about this.

Sounds Like great journey. Lookng forward to hearing some good progress

Great journey, stay motivated to achieve your goals.

Yeah, unfortunately media buying isn't covered too well on BHW.

Following the journey!

Update #2

> Here's what's done

  • Spent the week brainstorming product ideas. I wrote a 20-page thesis, scratched it, it then started back over again. Lol!
  • Finally, on Saturday, I had a conversation with a client that gave me a new idea.
  • Wrote the sales letter overnight, decided the audience, and product pricing is set:

Product #1: Completely free and used as a down-sell for people not qualified for Product #2. Eventually, the goal is to teach them enough that they self-qualify themselves to purchase the next tiered offer.

    Product #2:
Low 5-figure offer as the intro product. I will use this for all ads to get people into the ecosystem.

    Product #3:
Super high ticket, low 6-figure to mid-6-figure offer. Our customer retention is high, so we can sell it to them as long as they can afford this offer. Getting them to afford it is tricky and depends solely on the monetary outcome of Product #2.

> Thoughts
None so far. Very excited to test out this new offer.

> Next Steps
  • Write an ad and start the campaign
  • I will post next when the ad first starts running.

Outreach works too. I've just never had success with it. Probably because I'm lazy or overcomplicate the technology behind outreach.

Another reason why I'm not too fond of outreach is that you risk exposing your marketing angle. When scaling, your most significant competitor is your SDRs doing the outreach. If they want to, they can instantly take your message, your sales script, and your audience and compete with your offer.

Also, outreach angles don't last as long as ad angles. Usually, it takes around six months for a message to phase out. With ads, it can last for an entire 12-18 months.

I'm no longer selling leads. That was years ago when I was in the affiliate marketing space. I realized the same amount of time invested in promoting someone else's offer could be used to build a business.

Affiliate marketing + media buying are a game of margins. Since you don't have control over the price of the offer you sell, you can't compete against advertisers like me that sell high-ticket offers. You are forced to overoptimize and reduce CPMs to meet ROI targets. Vs. When I don't meet CPM targets, I can increase the pricing of my offer.

I don’t understand, are the products you are selling the ones that are making you 25k a month ? Or is this a new product ?

How can you prove that you are providing a certain amount of value (hence determine your pricing) ?
