I know it was succesful in the past. How about today? Can you place a prelander with weeebly , wix with an article and click here button with a link to your affiliate or other offer ?
Will the ad get disapproved if we use subdomains on Google ads ? Anyone tried ?
Thanks .

As also indicated by @VitalyProkofiev , using weebly, wix, etc domains (sub-domains), is nowadays a "hit or miss" scene as far as Google Ads is concerned. Hence, for chances of higher success, it is better to spend a few (US) dollars and get a domain + cheap hosting and create your landing page.

If it is going to be for a niche in which affiliate marketing is penetrated, then bear the following points in mind (for chances of higher success) :-
1) It is also advisable to have privacy policy, T&Cs.
2) Make the landing page to have atleast 1500 words and do not copy content from somewhere else (oh, yes, Google Ads algorithms do judge this aspect nowadays).
3) Let the "tone" of the landing page be an informational "tone" and not a sales "tone", not a marketing "tone" (oh, yes, Google Ads algorithms do judge this aspect nowadays, in niches in which affiliate marketing is penetrated).

can I actually put my affiliate link in the landing page without getting banned for breaking the destination requirements rule?

Yes, you can use your affiliate link, not more than 3 (for chances of higher success). It is a good practice to use a link shortener for the affiliate link (for chances of higher success), in your landing page. BUT ALSO do bear in mind the 3 tips that I mentioned (in this thread), for chances of higher success.
