Cannot download or upload any files using my PC.

Has anyone ever faced the same issue and solved it? I tried every possible solution still no use. It is not even allowing me to copy file saying the file size is too large. This is the first time I came across this problem or heard of it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I tried to download chrome application. As soon as I begin the process, browser collapses all of a sudden. This happens for app like telegram and skype as well. I cannot download any file nor can I upload.

Is this happening only in chrome browser? Try using another browser and check. If you think it's a virus, check if any unknown apps are running in the background. Download malwarebytes and run a scan. Reinstall the browser.

It is happening with other browsers and apps. I cannot download any files from any browser or app. If I try that it closes the running browser or app. I could not find any other apps running in the background.

Download portable version of malwarebytes from another computer and run it from USB.

If it's a windows problem, crea te a new user and check. It can be a issue with the user profile. You can also try updating windows or try the repair option before you decide to do a clean install.

Thank you so much. I downloaded malwarebyte and ran it. This solved the issue. You saved me a lot of time and I am relaxed now.

What is the total disk space of the hard drive ? And what is the available disk space of the hard drive ? (Do check it).
I remember years ago, when I worked for (remote) tech support, a customer was unable to download files and I spent an hour to diagnose the cause of the reason, getting the customer's to check her internet speed, etc. Then my team leader came and said "Guide the customer to check total disk space and available disk space" .... Took 2 minutes and the customer had just 500kb disk space available.
I remember the above, because when my team leader heard the outcome, she almost killed me for spending 1 hour on something that be diagnosed in 2 minutes.
Ofcourse, when I quit the job, I tried (as revenge) to kidnap her (team leader), but when I found out that https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/playing-with-a-skype-spammer.1463235/ was not a legit activity in that jurisdiction at that time, I eventually aborted the plan to kidnap her.
