What are your tips for developing an Instagram profile with NSFW content?

Hi. I own a boudoir and nude photographer account with 1,500 followers, and I want to grow it. So my content is NSFW (girls in lingerie, covered nude, teasing), I can't use Facebook ads.

What I'm doing right now:
- Posting reels and photos almost every day and tagging profiles with adult content collections that I know of
- Posting tags in the first comment
- Sometimes the models or profiles I wrote about above tag me in their stories or posts, and I get engaged accounts from there

In a month of this strategy, I got about 9,000 people reached and +8% followers. But I want to increase those numbers. What safe account development methods would you advise me on?

First of all, do not post content too much NSFW, as those accounts have a higher banrate that the ones posting "soft" NSFW.

Or, be ready to use backup accounts.

Safe growth strategies would include Mother/Child and shoutouts, mostly. As you said, IG ads might be tricky. Follow/Unfollow would work too, but it's not a "safe" method for your account.

If they're too much NSFW, and these specifically get low/no views, then yes most probably. If it's random, it's more of an algorythm issue (tiktok-like).

As others said, very high ban rate. Even for Mother/Child, the mothers are endangered. Probably better to only use children/slaves and direct traffic elsewhere.
Q: Do you really need a main Instagram account? What if you directed your energy towards a portfolio website and looked at social media as a traffic bringer only.
