18 DR is really high up. Did you buy links or those were just Natural links? I kinda have similar project which I abandoned. Maybe it is time to get back to tit.

I did around 100 links myself. (4 of them are on Wikipedia maybe this is the reason the DR is high)
Tbh i have no clue why the DR is 18
The other links i bought from here and to be honest i don't know the actual effect is has or if i'm doing the right thing i have no freaking clue.....

@Kr1m I use AdSense and Amazon Affiliates on these sites. It is easier to recommend products and for people to buy (having a good community), than for them to click on Google ads. At least here in Spain. In addition, there are also those who access a product that I link to, but then buy something else that has nothing to do with animals. Amazon is used a lot here. Increasingly.
In my experience, the adult public that frequents these niches is already bored with the advertising and the Amazon links are not so intrusive. And you can entice the reader to see the product.

1) you said you used few sellers here for backlinks. Do you mind sharing some? You can PM me the recommendations
2) what's your local language you are posting in? You said you are rewriting an english website. Did you mean to say translate or are you actually rewriting the articles?
3) how long did it take you to publish those initial 450 articles you mentionned?
4) you also mentionned wikipedia backlinks. Did you put them up yourself? What's the process you used?

Thanks for this! I might change the Ads in the future on Ezoic from Balanced to user experience in the future. But for now i think they will visit my blog for one time and leave anyways and don't even know the domain name, that's why you also said a community maybe.

Had the most clicks from search console ever today.
I can clearly see the impressions go UP alot!

The keyword with 2 Difficulty and 5.5K monthly searches i really WANT to rank for and did my best is currently sitting on #11 in the search results. (after a 3 days indexing it)

I do not want to disclose the language but yes these are the steps i take:
I know a professional animal & pet blog.
I have their XML Sitemap.
I DESC their list of blogs
i look at their blog.
i look at my own language keywords
i list the keywords / questions
i use quillbot prem, openAI, DeepL, google translate my own hands to re-write an article, make it shorter, better.
I'll give an example
this is not the website nor i have anything like this

i look at the article
i list all the keywords / questions
i check for example Ahrefs
I use OpenAI
i use QuillBot
i have 3 copies of the question.
Now i translate the 3 in my mother's language.
Now i check all the 3 copies.
Most of the time i re-write it in the other language.
Sometimes i like the latest version and the most clean version.
The reason i list all the keywords and questions is i try to use human emotion to read more.
I try to make them read more and more by listing the topics as best as possible; i question myself when the article is finished which is the first thing they really really want to know and DESC them.
For example:
Topic: Why do huskies bark?
Human: okay okay
Topic: What's the best thing to do when they bark?
Human: hmmmm i need to know this
Topic: Huskies can bark if there is a problem
Human: okay i ALSO need to know this!
on the OG article i personal think they list them wrong i want the reader to get maximum dopamine hits.

The topic has a breakout
Now i checked the keywords
the one with 0 KD is the actual keyword i was checking which is this one
Now i gathered all the information about this topic all the keywords and all the information i think i need to make a sucesfull article about this and created it.
around 50% is re-written 50% is from OpenAI and translated into another language.
As i check the keyword it looks to be somewhat seasonal but this year it's CRAZY! so yeah idk but it took me like 1 hour to think, search, analyze, create who cares. NEXT!
