Question about interlinking on my money site.

The site has product pages and blog pages. I am using the blog posts to interlink with other blog posts and also with product pages to drive juice.

But should I link from the product page also back to the blog? Is that good practice or is that losing link juice?

What about interlinking between two product pages?

Don't be too aggressive with interlinking, else your website will look too spammy for Google. From blog to product pages is fine. I wouldn't link back from product pages to blog posts because it is too much. Furthermore, I wouldn't interlink too many blog posts. Do it meaningfully.

Sincerely,

You have to realize that every page of the blog can be linked to a product, it's worth adding a little block there.
But if you're selling apples and want to link to an article where the main topic is computers, it's a bad idea.

Better do linking from products to product categories.

personally, I would not link to blog posts from product pages because if the visitors are on the product page I'd want them to buy the products, I don't want to give them reasons to go back to reading my blog lol

So yeah, I'd not link back to blog posts from product pages... If you really want to link back to your blog just add a button / menu item somewhere at the top of your site (in the header / main menu for example) that says BLOG and they can click on that button if they want to go back to reading your blog

As for losing link juice, yeah, you're going to lose some link juice if you keep the links d0follow. If you nofollow them, you won't lose juice, but I still think you should not add those links to begin with..

In simple terms, No. I wouldn't link from the product page back to the blog. The aim is to get them to purchase from the blog to the product page.

Not correct. Google fixed this link sculpting some time ago - you will lose link "juice" either way but with nofollow the juice won't be passed through to the linked page.

suggest to look at the top ranked domains in your niche and see how they have done it.

Linking back to blog pages from product page is bit unhealthy, as the link juice is drained.
Better you only interlink from blog post to product page & nofollow them, also consider having an icon or button separately for blogs.

If you want to interlink from the product page to blog page, interlink to suitable page. Don't link to the blog page which you already linked to the same product page. Also, you can interlink the product pages as well if it makes sense. If they are different, don't do. Mix it with both the do follow and no follow links. Don't over do with the too many links.

In my opinion, linking from product page to blog page is not that fine. You can just link from your blog page to the product page.

oh, I didn't know... May I get a source?

You can put navigational link to blog from all product pages, or relevant in-content single link from product to respective blog page.

according toe JM from google, interlinking is not adding your pages any juice,
but help the SE to understand your content better, mostly the anchor text.
of course this by itself can make certain content rank higher for certain keywords.

It's not mandatory to interlink and backlink to each page on the website, make it natural and use where ever it is needed.

Think in a way of always improving your blog posts to power pages.

That way you will have a killing ranking machine.

Hi another question:

In a blog that is a diary when you link from day to day and always a link back is it enough interlinking?

day 1 blog post <--link--> day 2 post

It is good practise to link between blog posts as long as the links are relevant and provide value to the user. But linking blog pages to product pages or other product pages can create a misleading impression from the user's point of view.
