Negative outcomes when buying Trustpilot reviews

Hey folks,

I'm recently considering buying ±100 Trustpilot reviews for my company profile to get things going while avoiding having to work with Trustpilot (for reasons).

I was now wondering if anyone here can share some insights what exactly happened when they got caught/busted?

I already thought through some scenarios and checked the official https://legal.trustpilot.com/for-everyone/action-we-take. But some real experiences would be pretty helpful to make my final decision.

if trustpilot will detect the fake reviews it will remove them ,if you will keep posting them again for a while , Trustpilot will show a banner on top of tour page saying that the page has fake reviews , but you will still be able to make reviews , at that phase making the reviews will be harder and have a bigger percentage of getting removed , after a while of keeping posting the fake reviews , I think Trustpilot will disable the review button on your page that is what I saw.

I've had a frustrating time with several vendors on here who promised (and still do) sticky reviews. The last guy was having his reviews removed within hours of posting and the result now is my profile is kinda shadow banned and even now removes legitimate reviews from clients.

I've switched to reviews.io now and will not be buying anymore fake reviews. These sellers cannot bypass TP and I've read that TP are now taking people to court for posting fake reviews. I dare say, they've even got people on here.

I don't think that they will ever remove a listing – that is exactly what makes them so powerful. They force you to interact with them as people come to the site and give reviews even if you don't want it.

Trustpilot will never remove a listing. I never wanted one in the first place. A client left a positive review but one review looked worse than none, so I begged TP to remove it. They refused, which forced me down the route of fake reviews.

From past experience, throwing a bucket load of positive reviews at a listing in a short time frame is a massive flag.

When I've done it in the past, I make sure that the profile I'm using has a mix of review ratings for numerous different niches.

This needs to be done manually and not have reviews written by subpar software.
They will stick, but it takes quite a while to build up the numbers that you're looking for.

Yes i have seen many listings with many negative reviews , for sure they don't remove listing

Trustpilot is smart , they can easily detect fake reviews and remove them , that's it

I heard that some sellers sell reviews at 25$ per review and that are sticky. Also, they give 12 months repost warranty. Anyone take this kind of service?

reviews over a short period of time looks spooky. These reviews need to be dropped over time.

Better to do it slowly, and best to do fewer reviews to top reviews websites per month so the first page of Google will be filled with positive reviews
