The "4 pages filter" by google

Hi guys,

my site is going through something I didn't know.
A 4 pages filter. That is to say:

When on google you do "site:xxxx" there is at most one result of 11 pages indexed.

However, the search console will tell you that your hundreds of pages are on google.

The google engineers say that they never set this up and that it is the robot that decides this.

Have you ever had this problem and how did you get out of it?

Yes, the website is filtered.

What site: says usually goes because console is greatly delayed.

In my cases the issue was with content. It strayed too far from the original topic and now the anchor texts, historic document rankings etc show mixed signals to engines.

Getting back to previous topic more and publishing new pieces regularly convinced the engines to lift it.

how much time and effort it take to get out of the penalty for you

I used to have it before, but luckily I don't know why; after putting all noindex tags as an accident for like half the month and removing the tag right after it, go for the search console to validate it, and it just came back normal. Or maybe it's just a coincidence or smth

Around two months and 5-10 new pieces of content. Also revamp of old content,

I faced the same problem too
I redirected the old domain (Google penalty) to a new domain, but the other one got the same penalty (4 pages) lol
Maybe because of the thin content (only photos).
If anyone finds a solution, please share it.
