It's been said in many posts...

Scrapebox is too cheap!

Why complain about the cheapness for a great tool?

Because the idiot noobees are gonna ruin it for all of us who see the power and use it sensibly to make some cash... Why ? The price of entry is too low and the ability to kill the golden goose is too high

Here's my petition:

Please make SB at least $250 for all new buyers.

It's worth it and it will at least make the idiots think twice...

This is the best software I have seen in ages and the updates and support are just excellent!

I don't want anyone to foolishly jeopardize this opportunity.

Anyone else agree?

The maker of the software has decided to make a affordable tool for all to use.Why would want to rob other people of what you already have?I don't understand why you want this except that yo think overuse would somehow have a negative reaction.That's just speculation at best.I hope the price stays affordable for everyone.

I don't think it would be very fair to up the price that much since so many people have already bought it for so much less. I don't use or own SB but understand its very powerful but I don't think raising the price 200 bucks would be fair. I think makybe charge the 50 plus a monthly thing like 10 bucks or something would fine though, just don't like the idea of it being so expensive after already being so affordable.

Well all I can say is that the tool will be worthless soon as there are already sooo many blogs out there with the same comments posted time, after time, after time in the same blog posts...

What do they have in common?

The footprint is so clearly SB that it can only be a matter of (short) time before the G recognizes that obvious "foot print" and will either downgrade the blog or, worse, will start to investigate where the other posts go... (bad neighborhood style).

The problem with a tool so powerful is that in careless hands everyone will suffer even though we have been careful as there may be millions of blog posts out there to comment on but SB has a knack of finding millions easily in very short periods of time making it too easy for unthinking abuse which could so easily lead to unwanted "discovery" and penalties from the G for no fault of our own.

Xrumer has the same kind of power but because it costs $500 not everyone is out there blasting the deal to death (or not yet anyway) and if someone hasn't the skill or the cash at least they can pay a few dollars to someone who is skilled to get an xrumer run done.

I'll be pretty sad like many others if/when the day comes that G starts penalizing us all just because too many mistake ridden mega million blasts are done (easily possible) that at the very least pisses off the blog owners so much that almost no comments make it through due to the volume of crap being too high and every comment being Akismetted or just deleted by moderators... It's tough enough already don't you think?

In an ideal world education would be the best thing but what are the chances of people learning how to use it properly?.....

At least a higher price might slow down the inevitable day when it no longer works?

Maybe a higher price isn't ideal but I can't see how else to slow down that day that's coming

You do bring up good points but the term use at your own risk comes to mind.If this does come to pass then I hope the programmer come up with a new software that will fix this but until then it is a use at your own risk. Does anyone know how many people are using this program?

While I can't say an exact pricing since that is up to the owner, I can say that I do wish this product was more expensive. I think a monthly service fee would be great since this would keep the mostly in the hands of those that use it properly.

With that said, there will always be those people that are just too lazy to take the time to learn to use something properly in this industry. No matter what you say to them, no matter how hard you try to help them, there's just some people that are just lazy.

The best thing you can do it to focus on your business. Think along the lines of "How can I use SB in a better way that's different from all the abusers?"

Also, I talked about this in my "SB best practices" thread, but don't just focus on SB. SB is a great tool, but it's not the only one. There are many other ways to get effective backlinks for your sites.

I am a true fan of this software and I am truly amazed at how great a job Sweetfunny has done.

His updates are regular as clockwork and he/she is obviously listening and responding to peoples input and comments using them to just make it better and better... It's a rare thing and I would hate for it to become useless.

I hope you are right Dizz and they keep improving it and overcome any obstacle

To be honest I am playing a little bit of "devils advocate" with this post and partly just trying to highlight the importance of being careful with the tool as even the "idiots" I refer to will surely want this software to continue and grow.

They weren't the terms when I bought the software. A lot of existing customers would get pretty pissed.

I was one of the first to jump on the scrapebox purchase and have loved it ever since. Who are you to say these noobs will abuse it? Should it be a higher price? I dunno. Is it worth more than the asking price? Yes.

Basically, since you were able to get it for cheap, it should be all yours and no one else should be able to afford it because you think they're going to abuse its power? Come on dude, get off your high horse. You're no better than than these "noobs"

Exactly. This is an amazing tool for the price. However, the writing is on the wall to it's fate. My blogs are getting hammered daily with the same comments and links. At least spin your comments. When I check some of my backlinks, it's the same. I wonder what value the links even have when there's 100 plus links and growing on the page. Where are we going to be in 3 months?
Yea, I wish they would up the price for the same reasion as everyone else.

I'm in two minds about this. I already have SB so it won't hurt me it the price was raised to deter the idiots, but it's not really fair is it? I haven't seen anyone spamming my blogs yet with it so it can't be that widespread.

I was being sarcastic. I already have scrapebox and love it. Really don't care if the price gets raised or not. If it turns into a monthly thing, I'm out, plain and simple

It's great you feel that way about the product.

But I'm sure you could donate some $$ to the creator of SB to show your gratitude rather than encourage others to pay more.
