Yup, the spike in blog spam since ScrapeBox's release has been plainly noticeable to anyone with a large network of blogs. I look at some of the spam in my spambox and laugh. Do some of these people have any clue whatsoever? I also agree that finding pages which have not already been spammed to hell is getting pretty difficult. What you'll see is more and more people moving to nofollow links, more and more people closing their comments, heavier moderation, and so forth.

Saturation is the very nature of blog commenting.

It's not just automated tools like scrapebox that are causing problems.

I work only on manual, high quality blog commenting and I can tell you that everyone is following everyone else even without automated tools, on all formats and platforms.

I have found that when I find a pristine new blog target, it's got 6 months max before the RX/Replica spammers find it and blast it to smithereens.

Your best bet, rather than trying to close the pandoras box of spam that Sweetfunny has unleashed, is to keep looking for new platforms and always stay on the move with regard to blog commenting. It's a dynamic environment and what's more, the seed has already been planted. Scrapebox cannot be stopped now, too many people have it.
 
I agree with Micallef. There is a real danger of saturation. However this is really only a problem if you use Scrapebox in its most 'basic' form - ie a comment blaster. There are a huge number of clever tricks and twists you can apply to make Scrapebox an absolutely fantastic tool.

To be honest I barely use it to do any actual commenting - but its worth its weight in gold for providing me with 1000s of high PR linking sources.

Just think outside the box and learn how to use the tool properly.
 
I agree with micallef as well. I think sweet should also leave the default files blank in sb that way people cant use the defaults, which will in turn make people watch read the tutorials! and just post on the pdf or srapebox site "you must use ur own keywords comments and site etc.." just make all the defaults blank and give very vague examples(like your comment here and make sb it give an error if they use the defaults) anyone who knows what he or she is doing will get it!!! other wise screw them...

I have just realised that I seriously shot myself in the foot with this thread as the point was to cut down the "idiot" spam risk to try slow down the inevitable and of sourse all I probably did was raise peoples awareness of the success of the tool which probably means more buy it! :(

NE way I can tell u all now that I discovred a serious flaw in the software that gets your site banned, no one should buy it and even installing it is dangerous, etc...etc...

Hopefully the thing coming out of the thread is the message to any one using any tool - please don't kill the golden goose by being needlessly careless?

let me guess, everyone rooting for an increased price has it already :)

this is retarded, because i KNOW that here and on similar forums are MANY, MANY people who are not even willing to pay $12, eg. for Big Mike's products.

I bought SB for $57 and it was a no-brainer price....and it would be pathetic to say now that i want it to cost $250....because i very LIKELY would not have bought it for $250. (There are enough very overpriced tools out there already)

I think $57 is very cheap, maybe $99 would also be "ok"...but if you make and sell software or any product you always have to realize that the higher the price the less you will sell, the more people want cracks etc... So i think overall he might be making more profit selling for $57 instead of $250

If you guys would NOT have SB already i am almost certain you wouldn't cry you want it to be more expensive :)

Also...the power in SB is in its flexibility....it can do MUCH MORE than what is apparent, depending what you do with it. So someone smart can always do stuff with it where the noobs didnt even think about it.

IMO, it's the maker's choice to raise the price or keep it affordable. If he wants it to stay affordable, then it's absolutely fine too. And what makes you think that only the noobs are creating all the damage?

Haven't you seen pros creating more damage to all the good niches by first milking those niches between themselves through JVs and then creating stupid ebooks and other things to milk the newcomers and others? So the question is not about this software, is about the mentality of many many 'professionals' and 'gurus'.

The name of the game is still the survival of the fittest. I know that the maker of this software has the capibility to overcome the hurdles created by some 'noobs' and also by the so-called pros. He is doing a great job, so let him continue with it at whatever his price for his 'baby'.

the idea is simple and if you are remotely know anything about black hat op is right
assume that xrumer will be $47
assume senuke will be $27/month
then you know what will happen ... all the things we know about blackhat will go into thrash because of all noobs.
if senuke will have 100.000 members, how many seconds will it take for web 2.0 properties to change their posting rules ??
If xrumer will sell 100.000 copies do you have any idea how many different capcthas and unknown form fields we are gonna face ??
some people never ever can see big picture. I guess that is why some people make tons of money from black hat some can only make couple of hundred bucks

If you think that because a tool is cheap its going to ruin it because the nobs will use and abuse it you need a new brain. How many idiots do you think are using Xrummer for instance? Probably thousands but does it stop them from shelling out $500 bucks? Nope!

So whats your point?

I hope the maker doesn't Increase the price, even though I'v allready bought It, I would still be looking for some kindness from the maker, getting an affordable price tag Is always good. I think the op Is just scared of being mushed by the competition.
 
Sorry, I really have to disagree with this thread. Think about it this way. What if you personally had just found out about scrapebox right after it had been raised to $250.
