I have lived in Thailand and Georgia, enjoyed living in both countries for various reasons. Thinking about staying in Dubai for an extended period. Anyone currently living there or have lived there. What are the benefits of living there or what do you like about living there?

well the weather
I've been to Thailand and Dubai and both countries have great weather. Thailand is ofc cheaper. (waiting for someone who will say "go to Dubai in the summer and check" - I know, I know, still prefer this hot climate and good weather in winter)
I am from Europe but also considering moving on to Dubai or Thailand. So following!

You're the first person I've seen saying Dubai's got great weather. Guess you come from an extremely cold country.

I lived in Dubai for 2 years. For me, it was a horrible place to live. Everything is fake out there. But, yes, if you team up with a powerful Sheikh there, then it is the best place in the world to scam, cheat and even rob people. And then as long as you keep dancing to the tunes of that powerful Sheikh, you can live there freely without any fear. The day you stop dancing to the tunes of that powerful Sheikh, even the best sniffer dog in the world, will be unable to locate you.
Dubai (entire UAE) is a cursed place where all it's skyscrapers, infrastructure, is built by cheating and robbing poor people who work in the construction of such projects.

I liked them both. When i was in Thailand I was single( lived like a Rockstar) Georgia not single(oh dear!) beautiful countryside and enjoyable lifestyle. Weather preference Thailand of course but Georgia has long summers and great snowboarding weather in the winter!

I liked them both. When i was in Thailand I was single( lived like a Rockstar) Georgia not single(oh dear!) beautiful countryside and enjoyable lifestyle. Weather preference Thailand of course but Georgia has long summers and great snowboarding weather in the winter!

Due to what has been going on in Ukraine the cost of accommodation has doubled since i was there and there are a lot more people living in Tbilisi than before also. Still 3k a month will allow you to live well indeed. Batumi is not a bad city to live in either. Compared to other countries still reasonably safe, but anything could still happen with what's going on nearby.

I had to live in Dubai for 6 months. It's like living in faceless buildings wherver you go. It's skyscrapers, big streets and a desert, that's it, oh yeah, and overpriced Thai hookers asking $300-$500 for an hour and blonde sluts telling you they are some fashion designer but is 99% some random prostitute.

If you get into a clique of influencers or other well off guys, you are just meeting somewhere to show off your rolex and get drunk and if you don't have money, like me, (you need to show at least $100k car) nobody will want to be friends with you. This entire thing is for people with money who pretend they have a life but it's all for Instagram.

To be honest, I think thats almost anywhere expensive you want to go in, in any country. I guess you were just at a place where everything around was expensive. If you dont have money and in big expensive places. You wont enjoy it regardless.
