i dont know if i musunderstood what you said, but this is what i did, because in google search console you can only submit a page from your own site, not another site.


built page (my money site)
amazon.com/anotherpage

put 3 contextual links to 3 web 2.0 pages on 3 different domains. - link to "page1"

on those 3 different web 2.0 domains, did some internal linking & linked all of the pages on each web 2.0

page1>page2>page3>page4>page5>page6>page7>

just before i started i checked on google site operator command & one of the web 2.0s had one page indexed, (when it didnt have any for months) so i think it might get some of the pages indexed , maybe not all but at least some of them.

Web 2.0 is still being used to diversity your backlinks. Yes indexing is hard but indexing service that make it easier

how do you get the pages indexed ?

as a seperate question i thought you might have copy & pasted that paragraph from a book/article so i copy & pasted it online & this thread came up when the post was only posted a couple of hours ago

Web2.0 does not die but we don't use it for our tier pages just for tier 2 link building
 
Personally, I don't use this method currently. I still know a few people who do this but it's not as easy or cheap now.
 
Web 2.0 link building has been abandoned (and even hated) for quite some time.
 
I have 120k+ web2.0 only backlinks nearly none are indexed and I'm ranking top 3 in many keywords. You DO NOT need web 2.0s indexed for backlinking purposes. You guys need to stop living in the past with this indexing backlinks crap. Google isnt going to waste serp space indexing web2.0s anymore unless it's really good. You will still get juice from it once google crawls it.
 
Web 2.0's are still worthy. You need to post unique content on them, then power them up with 2nd tier and 3rd tier backlinks.

Yes, they are still Indexable and most of it on unique subdomains, if you boost it properly it will pass some solid juice.

ok, this puts forward a different angle,

you are saying that web 2.0's (& therefore other sites as well ) dont need to have the page where the link is indexed in google for it to count as a link, as long as it gets crawled by google ?

have you any evidence of this ?
not disputing what you are saying, just that it would help solve some of this .

those keywords your ranking number 3 for with just web 2.0's (but admitedly a lot of them) are they big terms or small, or very small, it doesnt matter to me, i usually target very small terms, but i just wanted to know

sorry i havent answered all the posts individually.

but there still doesnt seem to be any conclusion because it seems the opinions are split down the middle, i dont know if its 50/50, but there are a lot of opinions on both sides
 
Web 2.0 is not dead, the speed of page indexing died. Notice that google is working every day to fix spam issues and it doesn't always want to index the page.

Just think how can google bot get to your Web 2.0 page which is in no way related to the sites. Imagine someone in a store put some product behind a closed door, how can a customer buy it if no one shows it to him?
Use link indexers.

Web 2.0 is not really a quality thing, these links do not get fed from the primary domain and use this method is only based on cheating google, when he sees the overall value of the domain and this link is considered a step better than a link from a zero site. Only a unique and high-quality text gives some value to this article

My websites are 100% blackhat web2.0s the keywords I'm ranking top in are KD 20-80, mostly short tail. Never indexed a link and only a few are indexed on their own since they are ranking in serps (I only do good content) I'm currently running a small sample on seobacklinkgenie .com that is meant for public sampling on semrush or ahrefs. It'll need a month or 2 before itll rank top in google though since crawling takes awhile for most web2.0 websites. Patience is key. Force indexing will get you results faster but will screw you in the end.

With the recent google update even primary links can get out of fashion soon. It can be a big blow to link sellers if google really implements this.
