Greetings to you all, I feel so happy being here. My intro post is a bit long and filled with grammatical blunders please bear with me. First a brief intro.

I'm a Nigerian (one of the wrongest places to be on earth no jokes) a little bit educated, can read fluently and write (although not much without Grammarly). I have always fancied working from home and earning online. As such for the past 3 years I have been running around in circles with nothing to show for it. From python programming, webdevelopment, C programming, DevOps, digital marketing, etc. The longest amount of time I spent learning any of that skills is a month or 2. I am just unfocused and directionless.

Where I'm from online fraud (internet scams) is a very flourishing, glorified, and thriving industry with no major obstacle from law enforcement agencies (justice is for sale to the highest bidder) There was even a time I tried to learn the internet fraud business. Some bosses will accommodate you, feed you once a day, provide electricity and internet subscriptions for you, and teach you for a year or 2 how to do fraud. In return, he is entitled to %80 percent of all you will earn while learning fraud until you become your boss. Then the circle continues. But honestly, guilt was killing me, when I saw fellow learners chatting with scammed victims (so-called clients) most of these victims were even crying due to how much they have lost to these heartless scammers. The feeling was very terrible, I felt so down and cold. I couldn't continue guilt was killing me deep inside. Sleeping at night was terrifying, it was like I was seeing those scammed victims in my dreams. I had to quit such a heartless and cruel money-making method.

Although some of my co-learners then have made money from scams and are living fine. My commuinity and friends now make mockry of me and call me a never do well. Nobody wants to associate with me, this has made me depressed on 2 occasions. But still, I stand my ground and I still believe firmly that I can make genuine money online without defrauding anybody. And the journey and earnings I have read on BHW so far are a good testament to that fact.

On this note, I'm soliciting advice, recommendations, or mentors that will help me in achieving my online money-making goals and prove to these scammers and my commuinity in general that I can make money online by not being a fraudster. I have next to nothing in terms of funds to invest, I only have access to my PC from 9pm - 11:00 pm due to power issues. But I'm with my android phone almost 24 hours a day, and an internet subscription wouldnt be much of an issue. As such, I will be doung almost everything with my phone. Thank you all for reading my long and boring epistle, the pleasure is mine.

There are many sections to BHW, what areas are you interested in?
I would love bloging, but my greatest challenge is I barely know how to write well, and am a complete noob in terms of SEO and ranking. Thanks for your nice response

Thanks for your response. I have zero skills for now. I am intrested in blogging about Nigerian fraudsters and my target audience will be Asia, Euro, and other continents outside Africa. But my challenges are

1)My writing skill is poor

2)Yet to know how profitable how such a niche will be

3)Lacking mentors or tutors that will teach me, and show me the dos and don'ts of the blogging space.

Once again thank you very much

Whatever you try, hope it succeeds because this is some good attitude.
Good luck

That perception that the world has, is now gradually changing, as the world is now quite aware that the global media usually puts in the limelight, whatever suits their "strategies" AND people around the world are now quite aware that as far as scamming goes, it is something that is perpetrated from all over the world, nowadays.
The global media does not highlight the extensive pollution and irreversible environmental damage that the global oil giant Shell has directly caused to the Niger delta region of Nigeria : significant oil spills, environmental disasters, human rights abuses, destroying the ecosystem and livelihood of the population of the Niger delta region of Nigeria, since the 1950s.
I spent 20 memorable years in Nigeria. Nigerians are quite creative and hard-working. As you've mentioned, you do not have anything to invest now, for internet marketing. YouTubing could be a way to start with no "direct" investment, but it would take 3 to 6 months to start seeing an income from YouTubing and that also, if it is done in an effective manner.
Therefore, ideally you should find a job now and work hard, even extra hours and save as much as you can, from your salary. And then perhaps after 6 to 10 months, you can think of getting into internet marketing as a side hustle (part-time basis) and try to build it up from there. I wish you success in your endeavors.

Welcome my friend, I believe everything ( you dreamed of) will comeback to you together with good heart like yours. All you need to do is now keep on learning and learning to get better, I wish you achieved what you dreamed of (making money and prove it to your community).

Thanks for your nice and detailed response. Honestly, things are going from bad to worse in Nigeria as I write this. Be it religious, political, or even educational things are going awry currently. It is every man for himself. The average Nigerian always thinks of how to take undue advantage of the next man. It is survival of the fittest here. Thanks once again. BHW is a very friendly and welcoming community I must say.

You biggest challenge is someone will ding you, if you write about them.
Honestly, do something else, find like minded people in your country and work with them.
Think ahead of time in long terms like 1 year, 4 year.
Enjoy the stay!

remote dot com is a freelancer site for nigerians (also uowork). See what services are in demand and find away to provide them with maximum value. BHW is a great way to learn how to do this.
