Will AdSense Ban You If You Use Copied Content?

Hello everyone,

I saw this thread of this member saying that his site has 450k articles that are all copied (except 600 original articles), and he is using AdSense to monetize the website.

I see all the time some members say AdSense will ban you for using copied content, and other members say it won't, they will just stop monetizing the copied articles.

Can you guys share your thoughts?

It depends on your domain, Adsense account age, etc it’s not this simple to answer.

but in general, getting accepted with copied content is not really easy.

There are chances if the domain is news related they ignore the duplicate content.

But If the content is purely copied and domain is not having much authority then its gonna get suspended for TOS violation.

But then cames another questions where will you get traffic for duplicate content ?

No, you got less chance to get your domain approved with copied or spun content,
But once it's approved, you can use any type and volume of content,
I've got spammy scraping websites posting adults content mistakenly sometimes and all what I've got are warnings for these

I can make a conclusion that Google actually don't mind of sites that are using copied content as long as they added original content and value. We need some manual content addition, that's it!

In one of my websites I have uploaded 60 or 70 original unique articles and over 4900+ duplicate articles. I am yet to receive any warning or penalty. It's been around 3 months since I populated duplicate content.

However I am not saying Google will accept it. I don't know honestly, I am just running an experiment. Will see what happens.

Its always risky your account got banned, so, yeah, take it.

It's risky, but I think it's worth a try. Maybe use it on an already approved Adsense account and see if your ads get removed.

Even if the original is indexed first, Google doesn't have any criteria to determine which one is original and that's why we see Google sitting idle when complained about duplicate content. Actually, it has happened to me before and I see duplicate content sites getting away with this.

I've tested duplicate content and rankings for years now and its one of the biggest myths. You can rank with duplicate content, BUT for user experience reasons I would not recommend it.

Yes if you can't pass off the content as SYNDICATED

This means banning will depend on the type of site you run

If you run a NEWS SITE, you should be fine because news sites SYNDICATE content (republish others' content) all the time

Of course, this means linking to original source or keeping their brand in the text

Google is constantly working to make sure that the ad tech industry is secure and successful for both users and advertisers.

Always spin articles using spin bot or grammarly tools, benefits outweigh duplication and plagiarism.
